[Heel-Toe] 2017 Mustang GT manual Steeda Heel/Toe Billet Aluminum pedal install with Nylon Spacers

This video shows how to install the heel toe gas pedal from Steeda I order to shorten the gap between gas and brake pedals.
Also, installing the nylon spacers(3/8, 1, 3/8) bought from HomeDepot helps elevate the gas pedal assembly.
With these two mods, it is easier to do heel/toe when downshifting and braking at the same time.
The total cost is about $30, install time is about 30 mins.
Tools:
--10mm ratchet;
--drill (optional);
--Torx screwdriver.

很不错的视频，我一直想吐槽Mustang油门和刹车踏板离得太远而且高低差太大，没想到有同道中人哈哈，不过这个踏板做的有点儿随意啊，要是能像原厂的那样不需要钻孔无损安装就好了。

谢谢！ 一转眼2年了，我车都卖了大半年了哈哈，有娃了换了WRX，这个WRX车的踏板距离小了很多，不用改就非常容易做heel-toe了。:)

I would try adding some spacers to where the pedals goes on. Give you that extra space to even the brake and gas out as much as possivld

That should work just fine as well. Just need a pedal-shaped plastic/wooden piece with a center hole for the screw.

@@knattnac what could possibly work to help shape it is laying some sandpaper over the pedal and lightly sanding the shape of the pedal into the plastic or wooden spacer, maybe using some semi-soft plastic they’ll bend and form as you tighten the screws.

I did this same conversion with the steeda aluminum pedal and found I did not need the spacers and removed them...because under hard braking the position of the brake pedal will be equal to the height of the gas pedal.

挺好的，距离缩短了一些，还是需要多练习才能做的平顺，距离缩短了就是练习起来容易一些了，我觉得主要难点是刹车力度控制，不是重刹的时候不好做。

Honestly, it is so easy to heel/toe now, I don't have to 'reach' the gas pedal while braking, it is right there, just need a tilt of the foot. The brake is still very sensitive, but it is a lot better than before.

@@knattnac yeah I’m a size 12 and heel toe with factory pedals is impossible. The brakes are more sensitive but with some practice I can get used to it
