The moment you realize that when Jedis first fought mandalorians and they realized they could block lasers they were like alright have fun with this buckshot and it worked because they can still try and block it but if they did it just turned into molten the hot metal that splashed onto their face it's canonically one of the closest times Obi-Wan Kenobi has come to death in because he went to a planet to negotiate something and they all had slugthrowers and decided to try and kill him and all fired at the same time
Nah, this would never work against a proficient Jedi. As far back as the Jedi Academy game, one could counter spread damage weapons by Force-pushing the projectiles back at whoever fired.

That's incorrect. Laser Weapons do exist in the Star Wars universe and they're notably different to blasters. Blasters fire a compressed high energy particle beam. Lasers are a continuous beam of light. But Laser Weapons fire an ionized beam of gas. An example of a laser weapon you see in star wars in a 100% undeniably canonical media is the "superlaser" used by both death stars. Note its continuous beam as opposed to the individual projectiles you see from a blaster.

Maybe you have evidence to refute these claims but...I see Disney doing a bit of creative borrowing.

Anything wrapped in cortosis weave would be sufficient as cortosis pretty much deactivates lightsabers.
