You would not be able to add these numbers together - to add sets together, they must be disjoint. All of these sets have a common element, the empty set and are therefore not disjoint.
in fact you don't add them the same way you add sets: you define a recursive relation between the pairs of two numbers and a third number, such that x+0=x, and x+successor(y)= x+y+1 (recursively)
