യഥാർത്ഥ ഇസ് ലാം ഒരിക്കലും സ്ത്രീ വിരുദ്ധമല്ല. സ്ത്രീകൾക്ക് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം നൽകാനും സ്വന്തം സമ്പാദിക്കാനും തുടങ്ങി എല്ലാ അവകാശങ്ങളും അനുവദിച്ചു കൊടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. പിതാവിനേക്കാൾ മൂന്നു മടങ്ങ് കൂടുതൽ പദവി പ്രവാചകൻ മാതാവിന് നൽകി. കുടുബത്തെ പോറ്റേണ്ട മുഴുവൻ ബാദ്ധ്യത പുരുഷനായിട്ട് കൂടി കുടുബ സ്വത്തിൽ പുരുഷന് നൽകുന്നതിന്റെ പകുതി സ്ത്രീക്കും അനുവദിച്ചു. പിറന്നത് പെൺകുഞ്ഞാണെന്ന് അറിഞ്ഞാൽ തല കുനിഞ്ഞു പോകുന്ന ഗോത്ര വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ ആണ് (പവാചകൻ മുഹമ്മദ് (സ ) നിയോഗിക്കപ്പെട്ടത്. ആ സമൂഹത്തെയാണ് പ്രവാചകൻ ഒരു പെൺകുഞ്ഞിനെ നന്നായി വളർത്തി വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം നൽകി വളർത്തിയെടുക്കുന്ന പിതാവിന് വലിയ പ്രതിഫലം ഉണ്ടെന്ന് പഠിപ്പിച്ചു. പർദ്ദ സ്ത്രീകൾക്ക് സംരക്ഷണമാണ്, അല്ലാതെ അത് ധരിക്കുന്ന മുസ്ലിം സ്ത്രീകൾക്ക് അസ്വാതന്ത്യം ആയി ഒരിക്കലും തോന്നിയിട്ടില്ല.
