Love the Race Week 2.0 coverage. Was on a long business trip when this was happening live.. Came home and had hours and hours of content to watch and relax with! Fantastic, thank you guys so much for an awesome week. Please, Please give Leroy the TLC he deserves so that Race Week 1.0 2022 he will crush the stick shift class and not only be running 7's each track, but maybe looking to go sub 7.5. What ever it takes!! Let Kevin go absolutely nuts to help....
lol Love the different reactions to the turbo manifold cracking on Leroy. Brents like "oh my god oh my god" and James is "ooh, wow" almost like thats normal. Good work boys keep sending it.
Leroy needs a test session somewhere other than bradenton. Figure out how you want to "zero out" the clutch and suspension on it, and go dial that thing in somewhere where the prep isn't on kill. Record the setup changes from that zero point. Then go to bradenton and do your thing there. You gotta be able to get that thing down track, and the bradenton setup/data ain't gonna do it. You'll knock the tires off at 97% of the other tracks in the world.
Yes. I completely agree. That place is extra sticky prepped and setups that work there won't carry over to normal tracks.

Yep, but it makes it closer to other track rather then having a full kill setup that doesn't kill on any other track, as you cant work with that.
Very good advice. Getting it successfully at Bradenton is one thing. They have no problem with that. Getting it built for literally anywhere else is something else entirely. They need to rebuild the suspension and do whatever else they plan on doing, then go live at another track for a week or two, renting a shop or a portable lift so they can really do what they need to do to get it done right. Leroy has the power. He just needs a setup that can hold it in all situations and they’re not going to find it working at Bradenton.

I met Leroy ruby cleet Brent jackstand and freezerburn for the first time at Tulsa this week. I’m super proud of the Leroy team. Brent and Garrett were up against insurmountable odds and with everything against them they adapted and overcame all that befell them, took second place and drive the car onto the trailer. Can’t ask for a better week than that my friend.
Don't give up on Leroy he is the GOAT of this channel, he just really needs a full overhaul and proper shakedown at the strip across from FF. Now that the engine isn't hurt you got to look at controlling all those bald eagles and getting them down the track.

Bradenton is so sticky they can tune Leroy to run good there. For drag and drive, they have to be able to tune the car for the track. Tom Bailey says 1.0 did so well because it adapted to each track so well.

Let's be honest we're not surprised a turbo snapped off finally but if a turbo was ever going to snap off I always thought it would be Ruby with her Giant ProMod size turbo and insane eye popping launch and 60 ft causing it not Leroy but you'll have that on those fast cars 😆

Hey Cleetus, This week was amazing watching you guys work hard and never giving up! That makes a true racer.
Some advice : Ask Kevin (AKA Mullet Master) how he managed to do the Suspension Setup on Mullet because Mullet aint giving as much Tyre spin issues like Leroy.
My feeling is that the you dont get enough tyre heat into the tyres during burn out, and I think your Tyre Heat gauges (like you have on Mullet) will help prove my point.
I must say I love the sound of Leroy's new motor, it sounds like the revs dont even drop when changing gears. WOW!

Leroys burnouts just aren’t spicy enough… James does a killer burnout every time.
The warm up/clean off cycle is different for different tires too. Some radials basically need just a second or two of spinning before rolling out.

This is where KSR Kevin and his chassis setup knowledge would pay off…. I bet he’d having it hooking a bit better.
More suspension travel, sticking to a tire psi once it starts hooking and reducing boost a bit once the clutch locks up. I would be interested to see how effected this would be.

The next time you remake the exhaust piping for Ruby, have Ty weld one up with back purge. When welding thin walled stainless with no purge, and re-welding dirty stainless it is bound to crack no matter what, when it's in a harsh environment like an exhaust system.
Ss always back purge, they need to bin and start again once they gone brittle micro cracks everywhere.
Titanium headers tig weld in a cabinet, never had a chance yet or big o steam pipe logs for the win 🤔 , SS eventually go due the heat cycles, wrapped or unwrapped, some. 310, 309 best for high temp, and rods to match never mix grades on rods

Watching the last couple days made me wish Cleetus had a SK 46175 Extension in his road tools. This 1/2 inch female X 3/8 inch male X 35 inch long extension is a must have tool for trans and clutch work. With a set of Snap-On 3/8 metric impact sockets, bellhousing bolts become easy.
The "Team" had one hell of a week. Two "Seconds" is nothing to be ashamed of. You'll get them next years. Hell Yeah Brothers!!!!

Lmao so will he at a normal track day with good prep.. the clutch was ruined since it got glazed from slipping so bad Kevin couldn't get it in the 7s with a slipping clutch either all they need is to go to a normal track day with good prep and he's gunna fly .. on race week we need to worry about not breaking and being more conservative than normal with the tune I run 8-10 lbs less boost on race week in the front half than I normally do completing drag and drive events is the priority going fast is secondary.. he could take the elco if he wants it to be uneventful and almost easy
@@flyingwolffilms the IRS doesn't leverage the car like a linked or even a leaf spring car does. Corvette's are sports cars not drag cars. What they have done with the two is awesome but they have put so much work into Leroy I would like to see what it could do with a few links and a narrowed quick performance 9".
They had two major problems.
1. Showed up with a compromised clutch.
2. Race week prep just sucks because of the street tires that the true street cars run.

Thank you guys for giving us this amazing content! I've been watching the live stream and of course your videos too on top of it. I honestly think the coverage I got for rmrw 2.0 was better than what I got for drag week on the MotorTrend app. I never checked into the CZcams stream thinking the MotorTrend app might be the way to go but it was so laggy I couldn't watch it. And you know what? Big shout out to Madi! That's a hell of a woman you got backing you up and helping you pursue your dreams. Hell yeah brother do it for Dale and Neighbor 👍
In no means am I throwing shade on anyone else but George seems more alive and all since he joined y'all. He fits in great with jack stand and Cleetus and that is just my take on watching y'all for the last couple years. He definitely adds a lil sum tin sum tin to the channel. Always loved when he tagged alone on the race weeks. And ya gotta love when he blew up the pickup in the parking lot at the old shop, that has to be my favorite video of him. You couldn't have scripted that mess any better 😂
