Man, I still collect VHS tapes. I have well over 1000 of them. Many of which are only available on VHS, BETA, and maybe laserdisc. There are some amazing lost films that I've seen, that might be lost to history forever, due to lost masters, and only preserved on analog tape.
I agree, VHS is still worth collecting. Companies like Vinegar Syndrome are keeping physical media alive by releasing rare obscure movies that may have never had a chance for release. Sadly, there are so many that may never get that chance.
Great collection! I wish I still had my VHSs I collected over the years but I got overwhelmed in one of my moves and discarded them years ago. Still kicking myself. I kept a select few though, including a couple Beta clamshells (First Blood & Back to School). I'm making sure my old DVD collection doesn't suffer the same fate. Older DVDs often had good artwork, inserts, etc. #physicalmedianeverdies
VHS tapes are great, but they do take up a lot of space. They are so cheap these days, it’s hard to pass them up. Although some of the horror tapes are quite pricey.

Thanks. Just a few years ago many thrift shops weren’t allowing VHS tapes to be donated. People were literally throwing them in the trash, such a shame. They are becoming more and more popular again. This is great news for collectors like us.

Clamshell vhs are better than the usual card sleeve vhs USA covers...that are more prone to damage.
It’s one way to look at it, but that’s maybe not true for everyone.
