Think back to the Raft, Otto let out some of Spider-Man’s worst enemies which meant endangering Peter and he knew that but didn’t care. Not to mention releasing that toxin that also infected May. Peter felt incredibly betrayed and hurt more than being surprised.

That of course would require the game developer giving the player full autonomy in all the choices and outcomes. Would have also been nice if the player could pull a Homelander and go rogue. I know, I know, Spiderman is a good guy and would never hurt anyone but man, letting the player choose how he/she wants to play a sandbox game would be nice.
