Im in Sparta Tennessee, and we have everything you need..grocery shopping takes three hours because you talk to everyone and if you bring a baby to the store, expect to stay all day. Usually Sunday so plan on doing alot of eating and praying and talking. And if you need anything we will do it or get it for you. You don't even have to ask.

Hi Cris and Jaime (& Bo)! My grandparents have a house in Bryson City and in Gainesville, FL. They live down here 6 months out of the year and 6 months up there! I have been visiting BC since I was 2 years old! We started going up there once a year as a family tradition camping at Deep Creek, and my grandparents decided to buy a house up there! Now my husband and I take our kids once a year or sometimes more to visit. We love it so much up there. You guys are living our dream of living up there! So looking forward to more videos of our home away from home!! Some of our favorite places to visit are Deep Creek, Darnell farms, the road to nowhere, Fontana lake, Natahala Outdoor Center, and of course the mountains! I could go on and on about how amazing it is up there but I'm sure y'all already know that! Maybe we will see y'all around on one of our future visits! ❤️

I've been looking around north and south america for awhile trying to find nirvana. Lately I'm pretty into the smokeys. Your vids are increasing the love. Weather great year-round in my opinion. Its rare to find someplace that doesn't have about 6 months of too hot or too cold - unless you like the desert. I would miss real lakes like northern MN, but I would gain the Atlantic the same distance away as cabin-country here. Nashville and Atlanta easily visited for a weekend. Destin/Panama City kind of reachable. Bunch of huge reservoirs to haul the boat to not far away to the south and east. If you don't need to be right in Asheville - Dollars go a long way...

Thank you!! YES! Asheville is amazing, but it is a bit pricey so we get this question a lot. If Asheville is your vibe, I would recommend Waynesville (45 min from Asheville) or Sylva (1 hr from Asheville but closer to the west with more hikes). Bryson City is lovely but it is a smaller town vibe (1hr 15 min from Asheville). These are my top recommendations for sure! Weaverville and Black Mountain (prob 20 min from Asheville) are also nice options a bit closer to Asheville. Hope this helps and feel free to reach out directly with any other q's!

      I agree with waynesville....
It sure grown also, though. Just draw a circle around Asheville within an hour , or whatever commute distance you desire and check them out.

Its difficult for sober living here... Very alcohol based local economy in BC - thankfully there are other forms of entertainment outside BC. This is the town of Trail Mix invention. Hopefully with the new comericial development district near the downtown area they will focus things besides booze....

Thanks Amy! That is a really good point we had not thought about. While we do enjoy a beer from time to time, we too hope some new attractions for entertainment come to our town! Hope to see you around :)
