Thank you so much for such an informative and well presented tutorial :-) Checked my fuse and it had indeed blown. So for the princely sum of £1.24 I've got my windscreen washers working again. So grateful and absolutely made up that I managed to do this myself.

Thanks for your video, I did as you did in the video, checked the fuse all good. Changed the windscreen washer pump, still didn’t work. I looked on the hand book, couldn’t see the fuse for the washer motor, so went for the rear/front wipers (which was working anyways) this fuse looked dodgy, so I replaced it, hey presto it works. My fuse was the red 10amp above the one you checked. Maybe set up different in the uk car. Cost £19.00 for the pump and £.25 for the fuse. At least I know I have a new washer pump 😊

Jack the car up, remove the wheel (use axel stands!), and remove the cowling, and you'll have a much easier time getting to it than trying to reach in through that tiny gap to perform keyhole surgery on it. It's about 5 minutes of extra work.

Thanks for the video. It was very helpful ! Now it works again for only 10 euros. The only think is after changing my pump I had to change my fuse because it was broke.
Maybe the fuse was damaged by the old pump.

Thank you Adrian this helped me a lot. I've just replaced my daughter's pump. When I pulled the pump out the sealing grommet came out as well. I inserted the new pump with the new sealing grommet which leaked. So I reused the original and all is well. Also one of the feed tubes was a transparent and was much harder to get on - I used a cup of very hot water to soften it and pushed it over the nipple. Thanks again Adrian.

2:39 | Great video however I wouldn't recommend cutting the hose as it may not be long enough for the pump once it has all been re-attached to the vehicle. This could result in the hose coming off over time

I had to cut the hose because I couldn't get it off from the old pump. However, the hose is actually long enough and I don't think it will be a problem if you cut 1-2 cm.

I have the same engine, and the washer fluid is leaking. The tank seems to have been damaged and ruptured but I have no idea on how to remove it. Any help would be appreciated!
I think you can remove it on the bottom, but the car must be lifted and remove the shield from below.

La c4 e ceva mai adanc bagata pompa de lichid dar e exact aceeasi operatiune. In sfarsit vad si eu pe cineva care stie sa inchida o capota usor prin apasare, la mine capota doar asa usor se inchide dar iti jur ca la service toti trantesc de ea si apoi se uita de ce nu se inchide, unul din nenumaratele motive pentru care nu mai merg la service 😁 si prefer sa fac tot ce pot eu singur.

Can you show us how to remove the washer fluid sensor? Mine keeps saying "washer fluid to low" and I suspect it needs a cleaning.
Hello. My car does not have a washer fluid level sensor, but the sensor should also be next to the pump, so access to it is done like the pump.

Hi Adrian, thanks for the video I replaced the pump but still no water spray front or back. I have checked the fuse, and it's ok. Checked when activating the washer there is 12v present without connecting the pump but no voltage when the pump is connected. Both new and old pumps tested ok with a separate 12v power source. Any idea?

Are you aware how to point the nozzles, mine are spraying too high and there is no washing fluid spread to the lower part of the driver side. I saw yours spread to the lower part.

I do not think can be directed nozzles, from what I observed as fixed. A solution would be to replace them with new ones.

I have already replaced the one on the driver side, but it still is spraying too high. I think it needs to be adjusted by the level of the front hood.

Hi. Use a multimeter to check if the correct voltage is coming from the socket that connects to the pump. If you have the right voltage there, it is possible that the new pump has broken down.

I just bought a new pump, but when I replace it; it seems the procedure is the other way around. When I pull the handle: the fluid comes to the rear screen, not to front one. What did I do wrong?

Hello. It could be the pump or the wiper lever is faulty.

There is no filter, however nozzles and hoses should be checked before replacing the pump.
Hi my front washers dont work at all, the rear one does with water no problem. Are there two pumps, one for front and one for rear? Not sure what to do? The fuse is OK. Thanks
There is only one front / rear pump, as you see in my clip. You may have clogged nozzles. Operate the pump to wash the windscreen and listen if a pump noise is heard near the right front wheel. If not heard, it may be a broken pump. If you heard the pump, check the pressure water coming on the hose to the nozzles under the engine hood.

Salutare. In primul rand trebuie verificata siguranta, din pacate nu stiu sa-ti spun care ar fi deoarece difera de la masina la masina, dar verifica in manualul de utilizare descrierea sigurantelor. Daca siguranta e buna trebuie sa verifici motorul de la stergator, daca ajunge curent acolo. Verifica si siguranta de la pompa apoi verifica daca vine curent la mufa pompei.
So I done this today, however the back window wiper activates when I try to clean the front and vice versa. Tried changing the water tubes in the pump around but this stopped the front from working at all. Any suggestions greatly appreciated
Hello. First check if the polarity at the power plug changes when you start the pump to wash the rear window compared to when you wash the windshield. If this polarity changes, the pump may be defective.
@@AdrianDragan This happeneed to me today, polarity reverses on the connector, pump direction reverses with polarity reverse, but water comes out of the same hose - I figure the pump chamber seal or valve is faulty - hope so anyway.

It is possible to be the pump, but first check the ducts and nozzles are not clogged.

Okay this seems easy! Anyone knows what can be problem?: front jets don't work but rear jet does in 5008 (I).. Seems to me there is only 1 pump for front and rear which looks to be in order when rear window gets cleaned? I have car for 2 weeks now, I am not sure what happens when activating front skooshers. The whipers go up and down but maybe there's a blockage.. Is there also an electrical switch inbetween front and rear or am I mistaken and there are 2 different pumps?
This pump is also for washing the windshield but also for washing the rear window. It may be a clogged hose, a faulty pump (works for the back but not the front) or maybe a fuse. When you want to wash the windshield, listen to the front of the car if you hear the pump.
How could you know the right fuse for the washer?

Hello Adrian, the headlight washers on my Peugeot 307 isnt working. Windshield and rear washers are working. I'm getting error code F998 from diagnostics, but i couldnt find many solutions online. Do you have any ideas? Thanks!
For headlight washers is another pump. See in the user manual what is that fuse for this pump and check it. If it is good, the pump will probably need to be changed.

@@AdrianDragan Привет и вам. Если сгорел моторчик, тогда проще заменить. Если вышла из строя перепускная система, тогда трудно, но можно разобрать и немножко сточить перепускную резинку. Но жидкость потом будет возвращаться в бачок.
В маём случаи очень тяжело найти аналоговые детали на замену😔, поэтому приходится ремонтировать😏.

Buna ziua. Trebuie verificat cu un multimetru daca ma mufa de alimentare vine curent atunci cand actionati maneta pentru spalarea parbrizului. Daca totusi pompa se aude dar nu stropeste e posibil sa fie infundate furtunele sau duzele.
