Hello friends!
Today I'm excited to share a long overdue update on my epic cross stitch conversion project! This is my second pass at a conversion of a HAED cross stitch pattern into a diamond painting, on a blank canvas. I've been spending some more time on the third (of eight) panels this month, and just reached the one-third completion mark on the whole chart!

Ahh Katie you are making me want to do a cross stitch conversion badly! Maybe not to the level you are doing, but I grew up cross stitching and I thinking making as a diamond painting sounds SO fun! Another part of the brain to use!!!!!! ❤ awesome videos on this! Thank you!

Did one of Jade's mini kits, and now doing a Princess panel. Love it. Uses a different part of your brain, that's for sure. Would highly recommend one of Jade's mini's for anyone wanting to try it.
It looks great, Katie! Congratulations on 1/3! I have a cross stitch conversion but it looks like it will be next year before I am going to get to it. It is no where near as huge as yours! Hope you have a great week!
I'm still too new to this craft to even wrap my head around something this epic. This really is a huge undertaking. I'm just along for the ride. I do respect your drive and motivation to do this.

Oh je, du hast ja echt richtig Pech gehabt 😢. Ich drück alle Daumen, die ich finde für dich! Fühl dich gedrückt 🤗. Bei mir läuft es die letzten 1,5 Jahre auch eher in die falsche Richtung. Aber wie du sagst, man weiß nie, wofür es gut ist 🤔. Ich meditiere 🧘🏼♀️☯️ auch super gerne und lege seit kurzem Tarotkarten 🃏🃏. Das hilft mir sehr. Was natürlich auch hilft is painten 💎🖼. Ich freue mich schon total auf die Drachenparade 🐲 und Bohrer und Schüttelfrost 🎃.
I cant wait to see how to attach them together at the end.
At this point, just here for the ride. But who knows down the road. I do love a long-term challenge with other things, so maybe when I retire in 12-ish years and have the time for it but also still have the life expectancy to complete it eventually.
You are doing great. This would definitely take me a long time to do especially in cross stitch. As a matter of fact I probably would have looked for a mini version so don't be too hard on yourself. I even had to put a mini cross stitch conversion down for a while. Lol
Such an enormous project! Don't feel bad that it's going slower than anticipated; keep your own pace so you can enjoy it when you do tackle it. Beautiful picture ❤

I love a challenge. I don’t give up easily either. I would love to to try it but I will get the snack size crosstitch conversion from JGS first.
I used to cross stitch, but, would get sooooo frustrated when I would be off a stitch or two….that’s why I like diamond painting. I love watching your progress, but, doubt I will ever do a cross stitch conversion….I like not counting and using too much thought.

It most certainly is gorgeous. But being a new diamond painter this year, I would have to say no, the intensity of this painting would have me so confused. You are doing such an awesome job. Little bits at a time and what an accomplishment this will be! ❤

Man, I know I say this a lot, but we are similar people on the approach to diamond painting lol. I just started my first cross stitch conversion and dove right into a Mandie Manzano princess panel. Go big or go home 🤣

I am working on this one in cross stitch, I momentarily lost my mind and chose the SuperSize Max color version - total of over 713.000 stitches 🤪🤪. I have completed a whopping 4.000 stitches = 0.56% 😂.

This looks amazing so far. I wondered if I wanted to try one. So I was so happy that Jaded Gem shop has. I did ok with it. I also got one more. So getting a small one to start has been perfect. Keep it up and take all the time you need Katie, it looks great.

I havena cross stitch conversion that I will be starting after drills and chills. It's one of the HAED crown dps and it has 99 colors and I am currently working on one of Jades mini cross stitch conversion the fox
I want to tackle one. I have one but don't have the money to buy the canvas and drills yet.
I really want to try this craft. I used to to a lot of cross stitch, and conversion of a chart to crochet. So can I take any cross stitch chart and convert it to a DP, would I be able to just use the dmc floss color numbers to cross over to same color numbers for the drills? I need something to challenge my brain! 😊
