That was my idea for the playing cards, excited to see it in the game
That playing cards UI is dope af!
the dude with the card idea
Your work is really paying off, the game looks sick! Not being afraid to throw away work is key since coming up with something unique always involves experimentation and experimentation is all about trial-and-error-driven by theroy from past experience. Wishing you lots of work, thank you for sharing this insight on your work process.
love the UI and the new textures! definetly wishlisted!
One of the best videos you have done, it really did make a difference and helped solidify the identity of the game
I don't usually play horror games but I'm really excited for this one!
Really this is the only horror game your gonna play you 🤡
Dang man! The end result looks awesome! The publisher has to be excited about you and your team's efforts!
They aren’t.
@@OnionFestival-si7tr Why do you say that? Are you a bot haha?
This video was the turning point that solidified my interest in playing this game. It took some reworking, but you've got a gem here and I'm here for it.
The game is looking so awesome rn, great to see this coming together. Keep going in the right direction
These videos are so awesome and informative, thanks for this Thomas.
The atmosphere looks great! Hats off to the devs!
That playing card weapon wheel is genius. This makes me want to work on my UI more.
the UI looks great :D
Looks awesome buddy!
I'm really enjoying these 6/7 days devlogs! And, honestly, they sold the game to me ;)
Crazy how significant of a part the UI plays in game design
I'm just going to repeat myself here, but the UI would look better if the ammo counter of each weapon appeared inside the empty circle, in the middle of the fan of cards. Just one weapon at athe time while hovering it. Anyway great progress on the game🤟🏼
The UI change did a lot! Really great improvement :) The game looks great and almost finished! There's just one thing that bothers me a bit, but I cant point it out directly. It's something about the weapon placement in the camera view and its sway effect. Like the movement with the weapons feels clunky, doesnt feel like I have proper control over my character. I dont mean to hate on anything, I love watching the progress of Twisted Tower. It's just something I noticed and feel like if changed it could make the game even better!
looks great!
thomas make more devlogs, i've always liked them
Thanks for sharing these invaluable insights and awesome tips. Really looking forward to Twisted Tower. I think you have a hit title on your hands. It will be well deserved. You've left no game dev stone unturned. Strategically well developed and destined for success. Also, could you please try and interview Solo Dev Alessandro Guzzo. He released The Alien Cube. Visually stunning and so immersive. Cheers and God Bless from Australia!
UI built as cards look dope.
I’m so excited for this game
Finally a non podcast videoooo!!!!!!!
Hi Thomas. I bought and played your games Pinstripe and Neversong, and they were great! 👍👍
I really enjoy this type of video, super cool! Do you have plans to make videos like this for the dog game?
I hope there are bosses that makes me cry like a girl
As a bioshock fan, I seriously can’t wait for your new game. It looks so good! 🔥
Damn, i forgot to wishlist the game, i'll do it right now !
Impact on enemies kill looks a bit weird, as they slam to the ground. Adding force to the hit point might be looking great
I feel like the castle at the end needs something more visually pulling/attractive? not that it's ugly but it needs something unique to pull the player's attention
Nice it looks good great work Thomas 🎉
Sir Please Make A Discussion Video With The Dev Of Fears To Fathom
Incredibly talented individual 👍
This really feels like a bioshock esque game
That's awesome bruh
how do you get the textures to look clean? I'm making the textures for my game and the textures look a little blurry when you get close
Why the change from the Willy Wonka /bio shock theme to Disney/fairytale theme? Was that your choice or something the publisher wanted? Would love to hear more behind the scenes info about the change in direction..
How long have you been working on this?
Make them cards shuffle animation or sth as weapon wheel is opened.
You had me at grimified..
It’s been a while since I dropped in but I have to say Twisted Tower is really coming together in a very strong way, but...
WHEN DOG GAME?
Are there bossfights in this game?
Hey Peeps , I have just graduated from college and have failed to find a job in the industry so of course I'm gonna head into the solo indie scene , but I am having a major problem with selecting what type of game to do , I always seem to start with one thing and feel confident but then overthink the scope , so I am wondering what games should I start making to really build myself up.
I know you've already made everything 3d and polished (or grimy), but what if you made the character models cel-shaded, kinda like Borderlands, to have that fairytale/Disney aesthetic? Or, maybe for the next game.
Great
WHEN IS THE RELEASEEEEEEEEE
Hi Thomas I’ve watched bunch of your videos. I have a request. Is it possible to do a desk/setup tour? I wanna know just “how much” or how little I need to start developing. Right now all I have is an iPad Pro
czcams.com/video/JEwPx-aDfqg/video.htmlsi=pbNIw2Bd4hr0lYVK
The video link here is an expensive office set up admittedly. You don’t need this. But after a decade of making games this is what I felt I was ready to invest in. You simply need a basic pc to get started
Hi Thomas, just have some helpful feedback for your game :)
The heart on the left, for the GUI is very distracting because of its animation.
Why is the video fuzzy?
What's your take on trademarks? we re a new studio and we were told we need a trademark for our game name, one for our studio name and one for the logo....that's like 1500 each and we were wondering how people afford it....
was this the same game that was previously called Father?
Yeah. Something definitely feels like fairytale when you say it 50 more times. So fairytaily. Good job.
Dude UI is the worst! Especially when adding controller support 😭 game is looking great!
bro i suggest you to promote this game from a youtuber called oyff he plays these types of games and make cool montages out of that he promoted so many games including evil west
Interesting I personally think the game is too dark. You can hardly tell it’s going for a cutesy theme at all since it’s so dark it looks more gothic than theme park. I hate when stuff like FNAF for example strays so far away from cutesy that there was no conceivable way it would have been child friendly in the first place. Cult of the Lamb works so well because its style is cute but its substance is horror.
Sorry, but you're giving in too much to what the publisher wants bro...
