I had to fight and argue a lot for my parents to say yes. My mom says if a company accepts with my audition they will see what to do after that. I'm training myself to the best of my abilities. Everyone has that one hidden talent. When u audition utilize it. Your unique talent is what will make you different and thats why its important to hone and show it off at audition. what you consider weird or weak could be what gets you in.

I'd ask my parents, but I gotta practice, I'll practice for like maybe 3-5 years so I can master all of the things I want to, I have to learn Korean, get better at dancing, practice my voice, learn the saxophone more (bc I want to), and learn how to not be so scared of messing up, I hope I can do all that, I am also trying to get my looks a little bit better, just tryna get rid of some acne so it's not a big problem, that is all I need to do I believe, I hope you got the audition :>

I was planning on auditioning a few years ago but i would’ve been TOO young. my parents have agreed to let me audition this year and im pretty nervous. my biggest worry is that if i get in they’ll white wash me or give me an incredibly harsh diet. (this is all if i get in tho) Good luck to everyone who auditioned/auditions‼️

unfortunately harsh diets are a huge part of a kpop trainees life. so if you'd want to ease the pressure after you start your trainee life, you can start slowly loosing weight now by adapting a healthy diet and exercise.

*I'm 11 years old and we're too young atleast we have to be a teenage and it's time for us to learn different things, these year we have to improve ourselves.... Debuting minors are nowadays common in kpop but either 16 or 17 is perfect for debuting....

I'm worried my parents will criticize me for not choosing college, I'm scared to audition bc of my parents. I'm still really young and talked to a counselor, she said even if they do, should chase my dreams. I have been preparing for about 3 months and will try even harder. My fance isn't very strong, rap is getting better, sing is good-ish, visual is nice. So yeah
if they dont accept ur dream, turn to singing or dancing online like kpop choreo tutorials...& things like that theres always another way
There a lot of kpop idols whose parents never allowed them like jisso and plus if you are 18 or above you have to get freedom

I'm too old to audition, but this was quite an interesting video.
Although if I was a teenager (as well as how I was back then), I was already training in singing and dancing (acting too), I may have made it to at least the second round. Not Sure if I would have made it to Idol, since I had some confidence issues as a teen.

Tysm for this video in fact I am actually practicing to be a kpop trainee/idol. I've been practicing since 8 and I am thinking on auditioning in the age of 16 or 17, for now i am good at dancing rapping writing my own lyrics playing the piano and being flexible but I am thinking of practicing more and it's been like some years since I started practicing but I am only gonna audition when I know that I am ready. And for the others if you wanna be a kpop idol but scared cause you don't have any talent if you practice for a long time you will find your talent, and it's good to know that you're trying!!

personally i think auditioning at 16-17 is too old bc companies usually accept younger people and if you audition younger and get accepted, you have more time to train in companies

As a white-british 16 year old who can’t dance for shit, can barely speak Korean and is far from pretty, I’ve decided to prepare myself to audition for jyp in two years or so when i go to university, not because i think i’ll get in or particularly bcs i WANT to get in, i’m doing it as a way to motivate myself to improve my confidence and physical health. I’m a strong singer but i have health issues that have kept me from improving my physical wellbeing in the past, and it’s meant that now i have the stamina of a sloth. What i’m trying to say is that, whilst i’m not even close to expecting anything to come of me auditioning, just the chance to do this for myself is so positive.

I think you really have some right words in the video. My dad is a taekwondo master, so he knows the meanings if it. Taekwondo is not just about fighting, but it's also about self control and thinking before acting, so when it comes to compositions, of course you need skill, but also mentality. Well, the point is that of course no one can always win, and if you lose, practice more to do a better job next time. He explained that, and so did you. I think it's very important thing to say, and a good meaningful one, and i have not seen much people think that, so i am very very thankful you mentioned it😭❤

I didn't told my dad about my auditionning project yet, I'm planning to show him I deserve to audition because of my hard work and motivation. I know how my dad is, so it's better to announce it once I will send the application form. My mom knows about it tho, and glad she supported me! I am going to online audition in the next year (june 2025) for KQ entertainment. I had done many researches as the video recommended me to do and KQ has been the final decision. Thank you for those video, I was about to give up in september but remembered how much I practiced and dropped friends for this dream. Thank you for giving me power to achieve my main goal ❤❤

I participated in more than 20 online auditions but did not get a positive response from any of them. I pay attention to most of the things you say, but I can't understand what I'm doing wrong. I always participated in the auditions in the dance category. what do you think i could be doing wrong🙁😓

This really helped! I’m not sure if I want to be an idol, but I still have time to decide. I’m still a pre-teen and I am in school. But I don’t know if I can do it because I’m a doubtful and shy person. I’m also very clumsy and my dancing skills and rapping skills are horrible. My singing is okay I guess but I’m still not sure if I could ever pass an audition.

If u choose any song that's not written by u, do u have to get a copyright first? like it's a clear case, if u would remix a song with ur ideas etc but if u choose any song for example a dance audition; do u need copyright from the actual artist? because those laws are pretty different from country to country...

I’m white and I’ve never seen a K-pop idol that’s not Asian…there might be white ones but they usually have some asian heritage like lily and rosé (Australian but also korean)
Jyp is starting to recruit girls from all countries without any Asian ancestry
I believe 5th or 6th gen will have a lot of Non Asian K-pop idol

I am still 13 but once I pass 10th class and when I am 16 my mother accepted for me and mother to go to Korea I never wanted to tell my mother that I am going to be an idol. Because I already know that my mother won't agree. So I am going to surprise her by telling her that I am going to be an idol when I pass and become an idol. Look dont judge me. I am not sure that I will pass or not so If I fail my mother won't be disappointed in me. You are beautiful in your own way dont try to change yourself be yourself. We perfect in our own ways. Go audition dont hold back your feelings. But if you choose to do like me you have work hard in secret. Never be discouraged. Let's gooooo.......... girls and boys.
