- Eliud Kipchoge is the greatest of all time. With all the content and hype ahead of the 2023 Boston Marathon, it was guaranteed he would win... but he didn't.
But Kipchoge is too much of a sportsman to make excuses. To help him out, I'll make excuses for his 6th place finish at Boston Marathon 2023.
Join a Serious Runner as goes through the emotions of watching Kipchoge not win and makes excuses for Kipchoge to use on @stravainc -- like the lack of Bottle Claus.

I’m not ready to move on and worship the next faster marathon runner. We need to have the faith that he can win NYC this fall, Boston next spring, and then the Olympics next year to complete his already goat status!

There is that guy called Kelvin Kiptum. There has been a changing of the guard. The only marathon Kipchoge will win now will be against unknowns in the middle of nowhere.

As a fellow serious runner, I'm glad to see we have the same taste in NA beer 🙂 It was my recovery drink of choice last Monday, after running a 9 minute PR and finally going sub-3 on the holy distance 😆Beat that, Eliud!
I run recreationally. Whether one complete the marathon in 3 hours or two hours, I don’t see much difference. They are both commendable feats. The difference is elite runners purposely keep their bodies underweight and run like maniacs for years to achieve a one hour improvement over more recreational runners. They also have a genetic predisposition that allows them to do what most others cannot.
When I have gotten too invested in running and caught myself running too much I always dialed it back. Over a course of 26 miles, what does an hour difference signify? Nothing of importance, unless I want fame and money from running, which is most likely well beyond my natural ability regardless of training.
This popped up while watching hand-held Go-Pro vlogs of people running Boston on Monday. From gear-check, to the busses, athlete’s village, through the entire race. Just vlog after vlog. Hours and hours of race footage. The B.A.A. will literally let ANYONE post a race-day video.
BAA do not care about hobby joggers content.

Bottle Claus handovers resemble relay baton skills (and in this case, fails) Not his fault! What about how those shoes held so much water he eventually couldn’t lift his left leg normally? Nike’s fault! Off with (Nike’s) head! Long live Kipchoge! He will rise from the ashes.

Here's a serious question for the serious runner, why did the BAA ask you to remove your footage of the Boston marathon while another (not as serious) content creator is allowed to have his race footage posted here on CZcams?
There are TONS of videos from this years race. It's crazy Steven's vid was targeted by the BAA.
@@tonymacias3263 yeah ,i don't get it. Kofuzi has a lot more subscribers,more people viewed/will view his Boston footage and his video has been up for days.
The BAA told me to take down the video because posting on-course footage violated their contracts with their media partners because they believed that my CZcams channel competed with their news media coverage.
I don't know what has changed.
Not only that, but a certain CZcamsr with a fake southern accent from Colorado looks like he used footage that wasn’t his own

As a SERIOUS RUNNER let’s remember that things happen before and during the races that may or may not have a positive impact on our time out on the road. Rain is only one excuse for me running 8 minutes slower than I wanted. I think I need a hobby jogger to send me a SUB THREE PLAN !! ALL HAIL THE B.A.A. !

This just serves to reinforce the epicness of the Boston Marathon. It’s not some sissy European course. It has hills! And it’s on a Monday!

Everyone else refused to front run. They all drafted off him. They may have won but they lost their honor. Plus the guy is like 42 years old. He just pretends to be younger to not embarrass the other runners. He's humble like that.

The issue here is that 1. He is getting older and the older you get the lesser your strength becomes. 2. Even kipchoge lost he will always remain the legend and GOAT of marathon. 3. My advice for him now is to retire but who knows he may still make a comeback and win. If you know how extremely difficult it is to run a marathon and be consistently winning for years you won't blame him for loosing just one race. So many athletes have tested positive to using drugs and so on but kipchoge has not for tested positive to any drug or substance same thing Usain bolt who never used drugs for and was winning for years. At this stage in Eliud kipchoge career if he retires now I will be happy but one thing will surely remain we may never see his likes again. Even the guys that came first in this marathon don't be surprise if he loses in the next marathon. For you to consistently remain on top for years as a marathon runner is a very difficult thing that really affects the body has you get older. He is not super human he only trains very hard to remain at the top. So I don't blame him for anything. The GOAT will always remain the GOAT. Long live the king Eliud kipchoge.
