- Here's how I installed LED bulbs for the rear turn signals on my Toyota RAV4 Prime 2021. I used a 7440A LED bulb and these instructions can also be applied for any recent RAV4 (5th generation) 2019+
Here's the link for the LED Bulbs :

Thanks for the video. The OXILAM 7440A LED worked on the back and front turn signals for my RAV4 Prime. No hyperflashing, no issues and at a good price from Amazon.
Thanks for this video, it seems fairly straightforward procedure, good to know.
You are the best reviewer and mod R4P.
Proud of you fellow Montreal-er. Thank You.
Should be getting my R4P SE end of this month.
Thank you for the feedback 😁👍🏽 ans congrats on the R4P SE 😉
Thank you! Helped a lot!
Keep the videos coming. Definitely switching to LED. I’ve put a deposit. I’ll get mine hopefully by the end of 2021
Future prime owner
Did you get your Rav 4 yet? How many months did it take?? What country??
Hello, Smart. I am impressed. Cool. It looks Good. Excellent. 👍👊🙌🙌🙌🙌❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
IN my Rav4 Hybrid XLE 2021 the housing or the lens red part cracked. What you call the assembly part not just the light bulb? Can buy just the signal light assembly?
Considering you have a rav4 "PRIME", would it be possible you can share your experience with the vehicle considering the combined power it has from the electric motor and the gas engine, and if those 300+ hp are really as a single 300+hp gas engine !
By the way... i just saw your other video were you change all the stock bulb (inside and outside) and the results are impressive !
Thanks for watching my videos. I'm currently doing a video where I talk about my impressions after 5 months of owing the R4P. I'll add my driving experience in it (local, highway, snow and torque/hp) thanks for the tip. 😉
very ok
Did you eventually replace front signal lights to LED as well and if so, did you get any hyper flashing problems?
I replaced the front ones with the same ones as the rear ones, no hyperflashing since I replaced them (almost 6 months) , here's the video of the result : czcams.com/video/ee1YPub_sGQ/video.html
This video came across my suggested as CZcams must know I have one on order lol. I watched the LED turn signal swap and want to do mine when it comes in, by chance do you have a video of the rear signals while the brakes are applied? I’m just fearing the signals may drown out the smaller brake light. Thanks
Unfortunately I don't but it's really hard to capture that on camera as it is very different in real life.
@@EVDude makes sense, Thanks anyways.
did you replace the reverse signal light? If you have digital radio was it affected?
Yes I've replaced the reverse lights, nothing was affected.
A couple of Amazon comments on the lights you purchased mention that they eventually start hyperflashing after a couple of months. What is your experience so far? Are the lights still working fine 4 months later?
Hi! So far so good, no issues with any of the lights. Turn signals are still working with no hyperflashing.
@@EVDude Good to know! I will most likely go with the same products you used when I get my R4P in June.
Your in Quebec me too live in Gatineau I just traded my 2019 RAV4 XLE for 2021 Limited love it 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Are they any good these bulbs longevity??
Im thinking lasfit I know they are reputable not sure about these?
Any thoughts with honest review..
Take care
Alan H
Hi Alan, I had these bulbs since October 2020 and so far didn't have any issues. No flickering, no overheat. But one thing for sure, they're really bright. But for the amount of times you use them, they won't blind other drivers in my opinion.
@@EVDude Thank you I’ll give it a try see if I can find them on Amazon.ca
Alan H
Hi, do you still like those Oxilams, are they still working well?
Love them and still working well after 7 months.
Any idea where to find rubber grommets on rav4 to run some led light wires?
You can find some at Home Depot, Canadian Tire or even on amazon, here's a pack I found : amzn.to/3zzFgE7
@@EVDude thanks a lot . I am having a hard time finding a hole from engine bay to cab !!
any updates on the hyper flashing after months of use?!?
Still all good. No hyperflashing after 8 months.
L'article n'est plus disponible sur Amazon... 😔
Auriez vous un autre lien?
Est-ce les mêmes bulbs pour les clignotants en avant?
Ils semblent être en stock maintenant!
Did you install the front turn signals? If so what did you use?
Yes I did, here's the video of the result (same bulbs as rear signal) : czcams.com/video/ee1YPub_sGQ/video.html
I used these exact same lights and have replaced them twice. I love them
And they worked for about a year. And after that, the driver side always begins to hyperflash, then they die. ONLY in the driver side. Has anyone else had this experience?
Sounds like u have contact problems. If it keeps doing that, get that checked to see what’s goin on.
Or it only depends how often u use ur turn signals goin on the same direction more than the other. And how long u been using it for stop light.
i bought these front front and rear the exact ones for my toyota 2017 rav4 and it still hyoer flashes in the front. And they claim they don't hyperflash. I put these in the rear and they don't hyperflash at all.
Agree they do hyper flash
Are the stock back up lights LED?
No they're not. At least for the 2021 model.
Bajee any solution for reverse warning sound? This sound is really annoying. PlZ inform if you have any solution
@@EVDude Thank you !
It would be perfekt with a replacement. Switching to a speaker that sounded like nightrider or something _ just a little lower than original space sound. I know it’s regulatory(and a good idea for safety) - but lower should also be sufficient...
Yes replacement funny sounds would be awesome
Congratulations on getting a PRIME. Us folks in Western Canada are not able to get a 2021. 🤷♂️
Seen one just recently in Manitoba. I believe a dealership in Brandon. Myself I will just be getting a Rav 4 Hybrid XLE
When I am opening this product on Amazon app there is message that state this product doesn’t fit 2021 RAV4. Confused….
All products on amazon will say that. They do fit the Prime.
Exterior LED lights are too bright at night - especially for those that have the misfortune of being stopped behind you at a light. Also, it should go without saying, that LED headlights are great only if you're the one behind the wheel but not so much if you're the oncoming traffic! Please do society a favor and switch back...
Thanks for watching and for your comment. The RAV4 Prime comes with LED headlights from the factory, I did not change them. I simply changed the LED signal lights if that's what you're referring to? If that's the case, they aren't any brighter than standard modern LED signal lights, which is what Toyota should have done in the first place. It may seem really bright on camera but they're not a nuisance to others.
Get over it. Many cars are switching to LEDs and they're extremely bright stock. Some people can't drive at night and these will be perfect. My brake lights are bright enough to blind some people and it's stock.
I'd rather be safer at night. It's not our fault people "can't see" at night because they aren't paying attention.
make sure you actually research what you are talking about before speaking.
Hell no lol.
Incandescent bulbs are a thing of the past. We rather run with ultra bright led bulbs. Yes it is too bright. But we prefer that to see and be seeing better, day and night difference. So others know what we are going.
We’re not going to back to incandescent bulbs and halogens because they are not bright enough and not safe enough.
these look very, very bright. It will blind people behind you, especially at the intersection, but why would you care about others, right? Stupid , unnecessary change.
The only thing u should care is for u and ur family to be much safer. With ultra bright led amber turn signals, others will never miss the fact that ur turning.
aus erfahrung mit meinem rav4 phev plugin hybrid kann ich sagen technik top, verarbeitung seeeehr schlecht!!!!.
