Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. No, but I think American audiences have been conditioned to expect actors who constantly crack jokes and pull antics in an immature look at me look at me way to gain approval. You only have to look at who you just elected president to see that personified. When somebody is normal you see it as dull. It's a reflection of your attention span and expectations, not the actor.

No. He was the one who declined the role because he already has his hands full with the trilogy of Miss Peregrine. So he can't handle Spiderman because it's also a franchise.
If they follow the books. I don't know, I haven't seen the movie yet but yes, it will take effort so he didn't have any other choice but to drop the role of Peter Parker.
He should play Harry Osborne if he's part of the reboot story.

This is fascinating to watch.
Asa is clearly nervous and slightly fidgety, but sticking through it (I would've completely frozen up at his age), and Stephen can tell and his entire body language becomes more and more open and reassuring. I always knew Colbert was a great guy, but wow.
