- This is our daily life in Siberia, Russia in winter 2023/2024. We arrived in my hometown of Kemerovo, Siberia, after crossing in to Russia by ship from Korea and the travelling from Vladivostok, across the country on the trans Siberian train, the worlds longest train. Once here and staying with my family, we want to show you our daily lives, the typical day to day thing we are getting up to here in provincial Russia. This is a week in our lives here staying in Siberia as we hang out with my family and enjoy a quieter period of time. Welcome to Siberia, welcome to a typical week in our lives.

Daily life in provincial Russia 🇷🇺 (my family in Siberia)
Thank you so much for watching! 🙌🏼
Check out more exclusive and informal videos with our family & beyond here: www.patreon.com/mattandjulia ❤️
I LOVE videos like this where we see the real Russia and Russians without bias, hype, or agenda. Just people doing life. Well done.
Glad you enjoyed it ❤️🙏🏼
Me too so real.
Agenda? You prefer to ignore reality because it helps you sleep at night?
"Do you have any floor rag apart from yourself" 😅
This video is just chock full of goodies! And your grandmother is amazing! Walking all that way in snow and ice! I'm so impressed. Thanks again for another delicious video!
thank you for the new video...i really love seeing you guys within the family in Siberia - i find it so fascinating and a source of emotional warmth - probably because i left home at 17 - came to Europe from Calfornia and have only really had surrogate families while here - life gets very difficult when one ages - you never think you ill miss these things - but you certainly do!!! hence family life in Siberia is very heartwarming to watch. david 68 yrs in london uk
Thank you so much for your lovely comment David! Lots of love from us to you in London ❤️🙌🏼
Omg I love this so much, especially the traditional music towards the end! I'm transfixed watching your videos, time goes so fast, please make longer ones. Love to your sweet baboushka ❤ xx
Have to smile at gran, don't want anything to drink proceeds to drink all of it. Very independent your gran. My Nan was 105 and was fit and healthy and very independent. Never got sick just went to sleep. God bless my man and all the nan's around the world 🌎
It's always nice to see Russia from your perspective. Glad to see Julia's Grandma again too. Hope she's doing well.
Not to take away from Julia and Matt, but Granny is the secret star of the Russia videos. 😊
@@dschoene57 I agree with that statement. 🙂
Great video. I really enjoyed watching Julia blossom in her home environment and temperature.
Beautiful city is cold where I live not snow any more used climate change thank for introducing member of the family good looking family big hug 🤗 ❤
Your videos are wonderful, warm and natural. Love all of them! Thank you.
Your home and family videos are my favorites. Love to your Gran…she looks amazing! ❤
I love your videos when in Siberia with Julia’s family!
you guys are getting better ... keep it up
Loved the video, respect Matt , that you speak so well Russian and Julia, so well English, amazing !
I love this video so much. I come from Romania and seeing all the blocks and life brings somehow a sense of home to me. I live now abroad, so I kinda strangely miss it.
@MattandJulia i always loved your content! Thanks for touring us in your beautiful province with your beautiful family❤ more videos please❤😊
Thank you so much for coming along with us! ❤️🙏🏼
More videos... this is from Nov. '23 and it just dropped 15 March 2024! You all are "behind schedule"! Keep 'em coming.
We most certainly will 😊❤️
Julia's accent with the UK on top of the Russian may be one of my favorite combos Good video guys
I would vote for blini too. I find pad thai very gluggy. But what a great episode - that cafe was outstanding, absolutely loved it
Дай Б-г здоровья и долгих лет вашей бабушке, Юлия!
So good to see how people live in Siberia. Somehow I thought it was going to be worse but looks like everyone is happy which is the main thing. Love you both and appreciate what you are doing.
Glad we could share it ❤️🙌🏼
I love the grandma. I love her directness. Reminds me of my grandmother.
Happy Birthday Julia!, I love both of your work!, I would love to visit Siberia!
Thank you so much!! 🥰❤️
G’day friends, weather looks harsh & ugly but you brought sunshine to a cold season.
Hope mushrooms were found at the end of the day 🤠
Awesome Beautiful ❤️. I want to be there. Weather changing to much
Another great video from real Russia. Thanks.
I’m cold just watching this video. I don’t know how y’all walk around in that weather. Thanks for the video!
Haha, this was ‘warm’ for that period of the year 😀
I love Russian winter too. More than summer even.
Us too, much more the summer 😍
I love your warmth. So inviting. Like family was meant to be.
It warms my heart to hear that it projects, even through a screen 🥰❤️
Hi there.
Thanks for sharing 👍.
Am with you all the way ________________________south African
Snow!! Yay!! I love snow, and I miss it! Those cakes looked delicious. Yum, yum, yum! 🤤
I just stumbled over this channel. What a nice video! Just looking how life is in Russia today, without any prejudices. Julia, I'm impressed by the way you speak English without a Russian accent. If I didn't know better I would say you're a UK citizen and for Matt, I don't speak Russian so I can't judge if you speak Russian like the Russians do ☺
My god!!!!...I've found you two guys a hour ago....Great to see and hear from you two.... please take care and keep up the great work. Regards pat from London ❤❤
Welcome to the channel Pat! Love to you in London ❤️🙏🏼
From the last visit where you Cats went to a (fast food?) Siberian Pancake place, to this video with the Pancakes folded or flat like Grandma was making... I have to say I want a bloody Siberian Pancake, and even several of them!
you are bringing us into the real world ..... this is important
Very nice, unbiased ordinarily life in Siberia. Thanks for showing it. I like this video a lot more than the Korean street food.....😊
Кто ещё заметил Томск на 15-й минуте 🥰🥰🥰?
The pastry shop looks *amazing*!! Here in San Antonio, Texas, USA there is nothing I have seen like those desserts, served in china coffee cups. Such a wide variety. Of course, it is a bit more chilly in Siberia. This evening it is on and off again rain, and 17 degrees. A week or so ago it was close to 30. But, thank you for sharing your journey.
I'm watching from San Antonio also! cheers
Love when you guys are in Russia with Gran. She looks well. Love to the whole family. 😘
Great video! Thank you
Wow Ju and her sister look so happy to be there. Very cool
It's' like travelling back in time! Many thanks for sharing.
You both enjoy life so much
. Happy always. But the real happiness, which is unending and can be felt just sitting at one place, not even to move, that bliss state , the never ending permanent happiness is possible through chanting hare Krishna hare Krishna hare Rama hare Rama
Love your wonderful videos ❤❤❤!
Julia, your sister is a GODDESS. 😍😍❤❤😍😍❤❤
Pancakes are the best!!!
Honest videos showing real life, great content 😊
❤you just said the perfect 🎉weather snowy or not but not crunchy melty " careful walking " -13 chilly but ya can work without overheating
any jobs out there😊
You guys are lovely and I love seeing your family!
Thanks it is always uplifting watching your videos. Charming, sublime to watch in the interactions with your family. You two sound broody. The scene in the market reminded me of The Mushroom Picker (BBC early '90's). I've kids your age, I wish they were like you.
The coldest weather I've experienced was in Munich it was -7..I was surprised.
Amazing video again , Kemerovo is a big city , you guys have a special talent for showing real life in Russia....just love the surprise visit to your brother...😊😘
The cafe cakes looked mighty tasty especially the one with red icing.
They really were 😍❤️
Happy birthday Julia, for whenever it was :D bet it was nice to spend time with Babushka. Looking forward to your next adventures xxx
What a view , what a wonderful scenery ! 😂 you can never find such a unique stylish architecture anywhere else 😄
Very nice video. The videos in Kemerovo are my favorite videos. Please make more videos from Kemerovo/ Siberia and generell Russia
Looks dang cold there, Coffee sounds in order. Thanks for posting this video.
I love seeing your gran. It reminds me of mine. There was no other cooking like hers. And I’m sure you feel the same way about yours.
That "Soviet cafe" you visited at the end reminded me of US decor in Florida from the 1960s.
Great chemistry you have as a family :)
Wow, you've preserved Hare Krishnas over there! They died out in the US decades ago though you can see them in some zoos where they're protected and loved. ;-) D.A., NYC
I love videos of the real life in Russia. Russia is the people not the government and it is a good reminder to see daily life. Especially love seeing your family and the things you do with them. Your brother looks so grown up! Such sweet moments to see your Gran in the vlog. Bless her she is amazing. Would love more vlogs with recipes with Gran. Such a wonderful vlog.
Lera looked like she was going to mug you for one of those pancakes...😅😅
Love the videos of you guys with fam! Also, are we just gonna ignore the names of those fabulous cakes you were eating in the cafe? What was the pink one?!?!? Thanks for sharing!
Is there a Jukebox in Siberia ?
Australian song 🙂
I couldn’t handle that cold 🥶
17:33 there wasn't liquid soap and paper towels for hands in 60's.
Love you guys just loved the vlog always a pleasure to see russia especially siberia 8 log years of my life is in russia ❤to russia from india😅
I visited Moscow in 1986 and the only thing I can remember was the black bread we ate, No fancy cakes like those oh and lots of salad and soup.
Oh man, I was so hoping for another 'homestory from Kemerovo'. Must have been a nice change of pace after your journey from hell on the TransSib.
The barista brother reminds me of Thomas in Downton Abbey
you are one cute family!
I thinks the Pancake Van is a great idea!!
Babushka is a super star.
Thank you so much ❤️
Falling is never good and I am like Julie in hating when the melt causes ice. Last time I was going to Moscow, I purchased these things that slip onto your shoes and have tiny little plastic spikes.
Cheers. I need to join your Patreon so I know where you are at present. Any plans to return to merry old England?
Family vibes 👍
❤️❤️❤️
Early November 24 we are not there yet !
In Siberia, we are 😉
I noticed that too!
I confused about Julia accent... I know her family is here in Siberia and she speaks at times in Russian... but, when she speaks English at times she seems to have a British accent and not a Russian accent of a Russian speaking English!!
It's always a good idea to end with cake!
Был рад увидеть свои родные дома на фпк)
These are my favourite videos, where the two of you visit Julia's family in Siberia and we get to see them, the cooking etc. They don't seem to starve, do they? (I say this before having watched the video yet. I have made a pof of tea and will watch the viseo when it has brewed and I can get a cup!). Do the various members of the family out there all watch your videos, too? It would be a good way to keep up to date with what you are doing wherever you may be.
Now, for that MUG of tea and the video....
Love your heart-warming vid and Happy Birthday to Julia :) As a Thai and a Bangkokian, I can understand why you guys miss the Siberian winter so much! 😂Our definition of winter here is merely a cool breeze which lasts for about a couple of days (a week, at most) lol. Guess that's why our supposed winter is a much-coveted, eagerly-awaited period of time of the year for most people here. Also, the soviet-style cafe/cake shop looks so fab! Oh, by the way, even though I'm a Thai, I can proudly say I am #teampancake 😆
Matt and Julia such excellent channel. Matt do your family come to Julia's family in Russia. Jo
Бабуля профи в блинах )
Hi Matt and Julia, Hope you guys are doing well. If only we had smell-o-vision . Siberian Pancakes. Nice to see your family when you can. Sending you Hugs🫂 and Kisses💋 from Jim Harriet and Yuki P.S. Send us the recipe for Siberian pancakes please..🙏
❤❤❤
💛💛💛
The tree with red berries is called рябина and her young nephew Nikita is almost big enough to be sent to the Ukrainian front 😂 Andrey is definitely getting mobilized in the next volley.
💕
I liked the Builders Boulevard and the shop . Some of the furniture looked very 60’s .
It was very nostalgic, even for us born in the 90’s/2000’s 😅❤️
I met a wonderful woman from Siberia here in the states. So happy I met you virtually. Special people.
Thank you so much Leila! ❤️ Lots of love 😊🙏🏼
MATT WILL BE HAVING IT EXTRA LARGE 😮, EAT ALL THE PANCAKES 🥞 PROFITS 📈 UP😮😮🙈🙈😝😝
Hi! I`m from Latvia. My grandparents were sent to Siberia second world war. They still hate russian people for that but they said as long as they lived in Siberia, local people really tried to help them out with everything and they were always against the war. It still looks the same, your family living calm and lovely life and people looking friendly. I hope your brother is not in the risk group to get an invitation to army. Good health for you guys and may peace come to the world as soon as possible..
твои grandparents перерезали огромное количество евреев и немцев в Латвии, были пособниками фашистов
а теперь твоя страна просто подыхает и не сможет жить без денег ЕС
думай о ней, а не о России
How tall is Lera . Nice video guys
Love these family videos and that cafe was amazing. Julia, your gran always makes me smile. She looks so serious, but I can see the twinkle in her eyes. I bet she's got some interesting stories to tell.
The Soviet era cafe was utterly wonderful. Simply wonderful. Just one thing, technical point: When recording voice overs could Julia back away from the microphone just a little. Sometimes the clarity of the audio gets lost as her voice becomes mumbled due to her proximity to the microphone.
Matt, I’m watching some of your Caucus videos in preparation for my upcoming trip. Please tell me you stopped wearing those hair scrunchy things in your hair. My sisters use those 😂
I‘m sad. I’ve just finished watching the video and now I have to wait another week for the next. Seriously, though, I love your videos and I‘m so grateful to be able to “travel“ with you guys!
Thank you both for sharing your adventures with us. I was wondering why are there large numbers on the side of the buildings? I noticed a few in this video. Stay warm, spring is coming! lol Have a great weekend.
We have them in Bulgaria, too. I think they mean the same - just indicating the number of the apartment block. It is part of the address and is large so it can be seen easily from a distance because street names are not used but just block numbers. The letter next to the number indicates the entrance because a block has several entrances.
@@Maia_BG awesome thank you for telling me. I had no clue. I'm in the states.
@@AuroraRose_Andromeda You have something similar there in New York - the streets don't have names but just numbers.
@@Maia_BG I'm in NJ in the pinelands so I've never seen the numbers before. I've only been to nyc once when I was very little. Thanks :) Good to know.
another great video thank you matt and julia
Awesome channel and great content 😁😀
