  • A legendary name returned to the line-up of Suzuki: THE KATANA. Is it worthy to the all-arund-the-world-known name?

Nice, fair & balanced review. I don't think a lot of people understand what the Katana was made for or what it"s trying to be. I personally really like it as it suits what I want a bike for, a bit of fun. I don't do track days, I don't tour & generally don't take pillions. I just want something a bit different & dare I say cool (subjective) to have a quick blast on when the weather's nice.

Yes please, I did have the original 1100 many years ago. Fab machine back then!

This is maybe the best review I saw on this bike. It does look pretty good other than that huge gap between the rear tire and bodywork. I hate that look but it's the way sport bikes today are built.
I understand it's a 40th anniversary type bike which is why sort of the retro style, but I really think Suzuki missed the mark on this machine. They already have a liter sport bike, the GSXR which from all accounts is a pretty good machine for anyone wanting that type of bike, but what they don't have is a sport touring bike of any kind in their lineup from anything I've seen.
A Katana remake styled after the '88 - '93 Katana sport tourer, with maybe better suspension and more power (maybe a Hayabusa engine) would have been something that the market could use, as Suzuki has nothing to compare to the 1400 Kawasaki Sport tourer or the 1300 Yamaha either.
Just the opinion of a 67 year old Canadian who's current ride is one of those old '88 1100 Katanas with the optional luggage that actually are very good for long trips with the wife. It's something the new Katana would never be any good for.

Very nice motorcycle. I think the only negative factor is the pillion seat. Would be nice to see a review with CRF250L. thank you for sharing. Greetings from 🇬🇧

Nice and balanced review. May I ask how tall you are? Difficult to judge the size of the bike, it looks quite small when you are sitting on it

Would a pair of handlebar risers help with the turning circle of the bike? How is it as commuting bike? is the throttle and fueling snatch and jerky below 30?
