I just want to point out that kitten heels are low heels but not all low heels are kitten. You might need to know as you search for heels online. Kitten heels are a low pump type heel.

Yes dress for the body you have! My friend falls in love with a piece before she even puts it on. I don’t love anything until I see that I look fantastic in it. If I don’t look good it isn’t right and I walk away. My friend has had to be talked down because she won’t accept that the clothing isn’t flattering in any way. She has a closet full of things she won’t wear after all.
That is the real disservice and these brands know this too, fashionnova has made millions selling a lie! Thats why i always recommend girls follow bloggers that actually look like them. So at least they have someone with a similar body giving them inspo.

The reason I like low rise jeans is my height. I'm 5'2" with a short waist. Low rise jeans fit me like a mid to high rise. LOL. I'm so happy to see the distressed jeans go away. Happy to see flat shoes. With my heel spurs, I can't wear heels anymore. I like red and pink. I plan to keep wearing both of them!
Yeah, I cant let go of my pink it works for my complexion & so I get it with the low-rise jeans if that works for you it does. It never has for me though too much going on behind lol

Yea, I'm so not excited about the low rise jeans. They flatter me not!! I'm the opposite of you body wise. I'm 5'3" with a long torso and short legs!! I'm curvy and short, but just about too tall for petite length. I live in cowboy country....so traditional western wear I love. The other trends I'm not sad to see leave. I welcome the opportunity to wear something a little classy to work. Love you and your advice!! Smashed the like button as the video started!!

Get your pants in petite. Many brands make short/petite sizes.
I hate baby pink but I LOVE a hot magenta. So too bad. The plum color on you that you showed I think is stunning!! The burgundy was a bit muted imo but that plum purple was so eye catching and beautiful! Also: Neutral nails will always be classic chic.

I have a pair of distressed at the kneecap jeans that fit me perfectly! I accidentally put my foot through the hole and ripped the jeans even further. I cut them to Bermuda shorts length. I can’t wait to style them with a blazer and kitten heels.
To all my high-waisted lovers, do yourself a favor and also get high-waisted underwear. Tasha B put me up in game with it and I won’t ever got back. I like the ones from Leonisa, they are $35 each but I catch them on sale.

This video was so good. Im 5' 2" and a size 14 large. Also 75 years of age. I do love fashion and agreed with all your comments. Cargo pants also add bulk to our legs..not desirable. I am apple shape so I dont tuck in tops anymore. I have many tops tailored and slightly curved up. Crotch length works for me. You are so entertaining it felt like I was listening to a celebrity.

This was good… and i appreciate you stressing that we should shop for our body type and not the body that we desire to have …I do try to dress for my body type which can be hard when you don’t see a lot of sisters with your body type so I do appreciate you and how well you advise on putting together outfits that look amazing on the individual

I'm very happy to be that millennial auntie who is cool but not trendy. I hated low-rise jeans in middle school and I hate them in my late 30s too, lol. I'm thrilled for kitten heels to be back! 5'10" and I'm more than happy to be like 6'2" but my ankles only tolerate that in a boot. I'm waiting for the full grunge and combat style to come back. If we get CHUNKY heels with flames on it and the baggy JNCO jeans, my middle school life will come full circle. Final Edit: yess I've been seeing the "coquette core" EVERYWHERE. Especially Pantone choosing that peach color as Color of the Year.

Low rise jeans can look amazing if you have a short torso/long legs and need help defining your waistline.
This is a VERY specific body issue but extremely hard to solve. I spent years unable to buy pants because they all made me look bad. Only high end designers made pants that fit me and I couldn’t afford them so I always wore skirts and dresses. You gotta know your body.
The cowboy aesthetic may be “out” everywhere else but here in Texas it’s RODEO time. We’re just getting started! 🤠🐴

Hey Sis. I absolutely " LOVED " this tips list. Now I personally am gonna hold on to my pink because it looks fabulous with my skin tone ( I'm wearing pink toes right now for Valentine's Day...lol😋). Could you hear me screaming PREACH!!!? when you were talking about people advertising for these brands that don't even want them sporting their clothes/bags?? I feel so sorry for these young ladies trying to chase that " fantasy" and don't even own their own car or home. Many people are living a "lie" anyway. 🙄I love me a good Italian leather bag from TJ Maxx, etc. You never really hear them talking about they purchase these things for love of quality, it's about perpetuating a status " image. " I'm so sick of LOGO, LOGO, LOGO. For me, all about conscientious shopping reflect on why do i want this item especially when it's a big ticket item can I afford it can I get something similar that's cheaper! Everyone is free to do with their money as they see fit but when it comes at the expense of your future to me it is not worth it!
I would have to humbly disagree about the western trend being on its way out, considering that Beyoncé is now releasing a country album, and the Louis Vuitton men’s 2024 fall and winter line. It’s all western theme and they have a Collab with Timbaland.
Although men's & women's fashion influence each other they don't always crossover. At the time of filming this video Beyonce hadn't released her country album now that she has its up for grabs I'm sure it will affect the longevity but in my humble opinion its more fad for mainstream than a trend and I wouldn't keep spending there

You look great in those monochrome looks. That white dress with the sunglasses! As a short torso girl myself, I find a wide belt that is a darker (but similar) color tone to the rest of the outfit really helps hold it all in while giving hourglass.

That’s why I like Fashion, because I make my own, even when they say something is in or out, I’ll bring it back because that’s what fashions all about somebody see you they like it and they go. From age and surgery but it’s all good cause I still work it even though I’m a platinum senior citizen you see we gonna do what we gonna do, and we don’t listen to the Fashion gods the Fashion gods have to listen to us because that’s really what Fashion is all about is what you perceive it to be and you were with confidence, and next thing you know somebody else is buying what you have on, you know how we ladies are we dress for us and for each other we learn by looking at each other, so I tell Man, we don’t dress for y’all maybe one or two dresses, but after that we dress for each other, because that’s where we get our fashion tips from looking at us other ladies, we don’t dress for men you think we do. if the Fashion people tell me, cut outs are not in I don’t listen to them I make my own decision because that’s what fashions all about dared to be you dared to wear it, but I like it modest ! 😅😂😂❤😍👩🏾🦲🥰

I have serveral coach bags and have been buying coach since the 80's (Yeah, I just dated myself) but I've always loved thier style and quality. I don't get the styles that I feel will be dated due to the pattern being to trendish but I enjoy my bags (and a good sale) all the time.

I’m a foodie and try to cook something different everyday. I never wear nail polish or fake nails. No polish because it would come iff as I wash vegetables. No long nails because too much food debris gets collected beneath the nails. And as a side note: how does one hygienically use bathroom tissue with those super long claws?

I must be super untrendy, because I just like wearing what makes me look good, no matter what the trend is. Also, can you ever really look outdated when styles seem to cycle back over and over? I can now wear stuff I used to wear as a teen in the 90s and, apparently, be on trend now, lol. Plus, I'll be honest, I feel a lot of the styles going in and coming out have to do with the current social climate and we are trending away from more... ethnic-inspired stuff, to say things nicely and without offending some.
Also, I'm watching this after Cowboy Carter came out, so I have to laugh at the Cowboy being out because it is SUPER in still, lol.
