What You Need to Know About Diamond Color Tints

  • A diamond can have a several color tints, such as yellow, brown, green or grey. In the diamonds that we used in this video, they are G Color. All 3 piles of diamonds are G Colors, but in different color hues.
    Brown, green or grey color tinted diamonds should be avoided because the diamond will look darker for their color grade. These color tints may not be reflected on the GIA certificate due to its hue.
    An industry term for this is BGM (Brown, Greenish, Milky) diamonds. Always ensure that your diamond has ''No BGM''.
