Mumma of 11 here (Pregnant with #12)
I bought a really big bag of onions (20 kg, I think) and used my $7 veggie chopper from Kmart to chop them all up and divide it into snack size ziplock bags to freeze. Makes it so much easier for cooking. I kept a few onions untouched in the pantry. If I needed to slice instead of chopped onions.
I buy bananas by the box full and make up banana cakes to freeze with the excess.
I keep lots of dry goods on hand in big white buckets with air tight lids from Bunnings in the bottom of the pantry too. (Pasta, self raising flour, plain flour, toasted muesli, oatmeal and rice. )
I keep long life milk on hand for emergencies and big bottles of water too.
I also make tomato soup with canned tomatoes when I'm in a pinch
Oh thanks for mentioning the "I'm perfect" range from Coles. Is that fairly new? I know Woolies has been doing the "Odd bunch" for however long????
Katie you did a great job !!!! You are getting so big ! Such a lovely young lady !!! 😀 Those grapes look good !!! Thank you for sharing! God bless !
I can confirm those grapes disappeared fast!!!!! hahaha

Adorable grocery shopping helper! ❤
She might not be able to push the big trolleys yet but she is definately a huge help to this blessed mumma
@@TheBonellFamily you can see how much she loves helping you. Those are precious memories!!
Oh thats interesting. Your coles is set up exactly the same way as ours 😲
Huge hugs to ur family
Awesome job helping your mom Katie,
She was an awesome help to me ✅🛒☺
I got a massive shock at fruit and vegetable shop today, a drumhead cabbage $15.99 each. The cost of food is crazy expensive. People are quick to blame Coles and Woolies for inflated prices but I think they are everywhere now unfortunately. Time to get the vegetable gardens going now that it is starting to cool down. At the moment I only have leafy greens for my chooks.
Oh yes, prices are high everywhere. We just have to be careful how we spend our money. backyard "crops" are an excellent idea. I'm still learning with mine. Had a few wins and definately a few failures 😂
Having a UHT milk in the cupboard has saved me so many times and also save some $ because it ties you over for a few days which no doubt saves me another $30 odd dollars when I go to the shops - milk is expensive and magically all these things just fall into my trolley LOL
so important to have some back up supplies
Well done Katie
From now on I am calling it the curly pasta! great haul!
hahaha me too 😂😂
Love soft and swishy pears xx
Yiou can have all the squishy pears 😂😂😂
Lol xx
Love your grocery hauls
Thanks ☺
I roast my capsicum with olive oil with smoked paprika and truffle spice yum yum
yum
Remember they used to make Nesquik banana powder 💛 I don't know why they stopped the that was a favourite banana powder ever now we buy it on Amazon it cost 20 dollars😭😭😭😭from Melbourne Australia 🌏🦘🌏🦘
Oh gosh yes I remember the banana powder. I wonder why they stopped selling it in the supermarkets. It would be excellent in a smoothie. Mmmm, now I want a banana smoothie😂
Katie loves helping with the shopping. Very handy to have her with you. She did a good job on explaining all the groceries with you. I also love my weet bix. Here in south Africa our food is very similar to yours. I knowing England they call it weetabix with an a in the middle ❤ take care jeni
Nice work Jenny and Katie 😊
Thanks

😂😂 haha Love it!!
Love your videos

Could you please give me the recipe for your apricot chicken drumsticks, sounds really delicious.
It’s super easy - chicken drumsticks, French onion soup mix, garlic, sliced onion (you can fry first in oil or just add when drumsticks are in the oven) and apricot nectar
I serve with mashed potatoes
I saw the amount and thought that's not bad for that much food. I was expecting it to be much more for some reason. I guess here in Canada it feels like that would've been like $800.
Prices of food is so high isn't it. 😟
@@TheBonellFamily that it is. I get shocked everytime I go to the store.
$32 for ham?😲 that's not per pound is it?
The wombat(sp?) salad sounds interesting I would like to see a video on how to make it.
I prefer my pears soft
Never saw strawberry Oreos I will have to look out for them.
Per kilo which is 2.2 pounds. So about $14.50 a pound.
Quality deli meats in the states run about $10-16 a pound too.
Wombok salad... Wombok is a Chinese cabbage
Love the haul but hard to hear with the music it is too loud
I know time equals money, but would it not be cheaper for you to buy a large gammon and some whole chickens, to cook and slice at home for your size family.
The chicken drumsticks are cheap to buy 😉
Great haul as always, is this for a week, 2 weeks or a month?
I just shop to fill up my pantry and freezers
Then I meal plan from what I have stored at home
I’m with Katie! I love green apples too! 🍏
They're good to cook with 😉😂 but I can't bring myself to eat them. Hahaha too sour for me
We get the banana flavour in uk
Really, I wonder why we can't get it here anymore. I haven't seen it in the shops for years
It may be its not as popular as other 2 flavours in your area have you tried amazon xx
Do you ever head down to Costco?
I’ve never been but would love to go have a look around and see what they sell and their prices
We call those cabbages bok choy
Do you have an Aldi nr you ?
I do
I buy some things from Aldi but I have done a price comparison and often if you shop smart at the other stores you can get similar prices
So much money you didn't get that much , everything is so expensive nowadays
Hard and crunchy
No flavor and terrible texture when hard.
The amount of packaging is atrocious. Do you have a local fruit shop?
I often shop at our local stores
Would love the wombok salad recipe please
I'll definately get to making that video. it's super easyto make and very yummy.
