- In the second VW T5 van project video I show you that you can indeed DIY spray paint a van and UV resistant clear coat for less than £200 and get a good finish. the paint we used is called Montana gold graffiti paint which I will link below. Let us know in the comments what you guys think of the colour and what we should do next to the van.

My compressor isn't big enough so I really struggled on the last vehicle I sprayed. I may get a bigger one and paint something properly one day 👍

Was only thinking the other day if the Tamar Wheels van was still around, love what you've done to it so far great colour choice.
It was a great van and I feel I've killed an icon but I couldn't drive someone else's van. Ah thanks dude I will have a further update video on the van this Friday 👌

Brush painting is another alternative, after a year or so it can be flatted and compounded, i'm thinking of using hammerite smooth or simillar and i'm 100% confident of doing a fine job.
honestly, don't use hammerite smooth.if want to use that type of paint get rustoleum hardhat spray.far nicer finish .

Hey bud love the colour thinking of doing the same on my ep2 civic with white and then going over it in red to make it pop just wondering what caps you used or if you kept the standard caps thanks in advance can't wait to see what's next
Thanks dude 👌 that sounds sick, I use the Montana cap 6s but there's quite a few different one so get a few and see which you prefer 👍

Decent Job - in the middle of a T5 conversion myself right now, and opted for "Raptor Paint" and kind of wishing I had done this instead now 🤣 BTW is that an old GTi 205 sat dying in the shed? great cars 👌

you see the finish better in the video thats out at 4pm today, that 205 has been owned by my best mate for 16 years he has had it since we were 17. it will be getting worked on in future videos when the new unit is built 👍

Just brought a t4 went to buy a wash kit for my 1967 squareback I brought a month b4 it's white so just doing white 😂 boys and toys

Bit late to the party but could you have bought gloss graffiti paint? I'm looking at doing my caddy van in the same paint
You would of been better off buying a small compressor and a couple litres of proper paint you can get a cheap gun from 40 quid you wouldn't of got alot better coverage not bad though for a hand can job🤘
I have two compressors and a gun at my unit 😂 I'm just crap at it
@@poordecisions2128 if you get your paint mix right 2parts paint 1 part thinner 1 part activator give her a light tack coating all over you will probably do a good job run in nice straight lines panel by panel 1.4 gun nosel you be surprised how 😌 it is I taught myself years ago done some amazing jobs 😀

Hes had it since we were 17 it's had about 5 different engine conversions and always just ends up sat in the barn. We have some good plans for it soon though 👍

Hi nice colour how is the paint holding up is it still looking nice or will it need touching up after a while.
paints holding up ok but someone has put there bumper into my door scratching it a lot

So how many paint cans did you get through and how did the varnish finish hold up?
With doing the door shuts and roof I used 16 cans of paint and 15 lacquer. It's held up rally well tbh way better than I thought
@@poordecisions2128 cool. I'm doing a golf in the new year and was thinking 16 cans but sounds like I might save a few quid. Is the varnish glossy at all? Does it look orange peel?
You can chose matte, satin or gloss. I went for the gloss and it did have a slight orange peel finish but I have wet sanded it and polished it now 👍

What size cap did you use on spray paint?
I used the level 6 caps on the paint but the varnish comes with really wide spreading caps 👍
What is the front seat out of? Quite like that, but not ripped and fucked lol
It was an old rover seat, I have a jaguar rear bench seat in the front of my T4 camper and its so comfy

The base is bolted down to the original seat bases and then there's a frame welded behind to hold the back support 👍

They were banded range rover steels - the new steels I have are so much better, they are navi steels from transporter hq
