Kid's a natural - throwing some straight gas. Mechanics are everything at that age. Strikes are what matters and it looks like he has the repeatability to pound the zone all game.

I mean it’s hard to speak on consistency from one pitch. This might be a good clip but how many times can he repeat this. Idk where you got that idea from literally one pitch. “It looks like he has the repeatability” the video is looping dummy. That’s not him throwing more pitches.

I don’t know, swinging your front leg in a circle might throw off balance a little bit. I believe picking your leg up letting your toe dangle down stepping straight out is better mechanics.

Wish I had access to that place and the people in it when I was a little kid in the 1960s. Its amazing what you can learn just by mimicking others physically and practicing on your own. Just understanding the mechanics of pushing off the rubber would of made my fastball so much better. More knowledge is better than less for all ages. Maybe in my next lifetime 😊

Trust me when I say that,I see alot of me when I was your age but I started throwing that Curve and ended up with a crocked arm til this day.
When I was 14 I had Surgery on my right elbow,Dr. took out 7 bone chips and all my muscle and cartilage around my elbow is dead as I’m writing this to you.
I played Travel ball down in the Detroit area with Smoltz and Avery and half a year with Jeter,that’s when my world came crashing down.

Only one suggestion he dropped his glove down. But he is great for his age. The chest is better for the glove but pros do it both ways. Glove to chest is the way it is taught.

Inverted W throwing hard at that young age. Statistically an 85% or greater chance of needing elbow surgery by age 21. The "modern" pitching mechanics are easier to teach and learn for kids to throw hard but lead to injury. The old school mechanics (think Seaver/Ryan) are harder to learn but don't put kids' arms at risk.

Naw he has great mechanics which makes the tommy John risk really low. Only way I can think of him getting tommy John is from throwing too many pitches without training his shoulder and elbow or not warming up properly for a game.

This kid is good but jus one thing I do that I didn’t see him do is that he didn’t load back in on his back leg and get even more power from there

He lookgs good but i need to see him do it consistently. The thing with these kids is the training and and level of coaching, not necessarily the raw ability. Im saying any 8 year old with moderate to above avergae athletic ability can throw like this. Gotta pay to play(good).
