Man, people really do underestimate Ruby-Spears Mega Man. For the time that this came out, despite X being something of a smash success, this episode was clearly made by people who have actually played the games before. There are episodes where Mega Man goes to dinosaur island as well as episodes like this that actually deeply care about the series. It's awesome.
Man... I wish they kept this voice actor for Vile in Megaman X8. I don't know what it is, but he just fits the part so well. Say what you want about how stupid the cartoon is, I still find Vile's voice to be badass.
X in the games: *Is defined by his capacity for sentient thought and free will, negating the need for programming, and is the progenitor of the Reploids, who like him, are also defined by their capacity for sentient thought and free will. Strongly dislikes fighting but chooses to do so anyway out of necessity. What makes it perfect is even in the super westernized cartoon super hero version of Megaman, Sigma still keeps the same derpy expression as he does on the box art
MM: "Then we'd better team up and send those future bots back where they belong!" X: "They're going back anyway. I just explained this." MM: "WITHOUT the lightanium." X: "Oh, okay."
I actually remember watching this live on TV! It was SUPER cool! Like this was a Team Up that I never DREAMED would happen!! Thanks for the sweet Nostalgia hit!
This cartoon got something right in this episode, the massive difference in power between Robot Masters compared to Reploids, this is specially amplified when Megaman faces a War Machine like Vile, someone who gave the more advanced X and Zero problems during X1 and X3 , i just love how Megaman's Buster cant even scratch or faze neither Vile or Spark Mandrill and that they know this , merely walking forward with shot after shot just bouncing off them .

This was based off of the first game's instruction manual. X's pacifist persona wasn't apparent until later.
ShadowSonic2 Well they fucked it up anyway.
that's the problem of adaptations.
X is a big pacifist
Stinkybeans93 he might be a pacifist, but when he needs to get shit done he does it, hell, he fought a fucking war all by himself between megaman x8 and megaman zero 1.
Perona True dat
This gritty artstyle actually works better for Mega Man X than the classic series.
"Wow, Day of Sigma-Zero where pretty nuts, huh?"
'X from the future': "Hold my beer."
On so many levels one of the most awesome things i ever experienced. X has different morals, X is even able to deal with them, X comes with a better OST. It's not like Megaman is a whimp or anything, but he's the kid here. He believes in being nice and listening to soft-pop. That's not the way anymore, blasting stuff to pieces and blasting power metal is the way now. We don't need to make friends , when we can melt down any foe. Great learning experience, thanks Capcom!
Wow that description is so 90s.
I think the point was for X to learn from Mega Man.
Now you know X goes double down on the pacifistic stunt than Rock.
"what an amazing world the future is" LOL NO its fucked up.
LOL XD
He doesn't know what they were fighting for....
What a shame..
and a space colony in the midle of the fucking earth
i blame dr. light and wily.
Can we just appreciate how kickass the music is when X enters the scene
I need a link to that song.
The sound FX for X's buster were on point. Like the seismic charge for Jango Fett.
0:38 "I am Vile, replaroid from the future."
Replaroid.
*Replaroid.*
SuperSwagger irregular xd
Yes, but in English it is now Replaroid
SuperSwagger Repliroid is the Japanese name for Reploid.
Of course! Polaroid is behind everything! Now it all makes sense!
Replaroyd. quando o certo seria "Reployd" os criadores desse desenho são muito burros! kkkk 😂
Wow. I really love how their portrayal of vile here!! I'm not a big fan of this adaption in general, but they definitely did him justice in this one
He's like Bobba Fett
I like how this completely fucks with the timeline even if we ignore like time paradoxes and stuff
Welcome to basic Time Travel 101
There will be a Time Paradox in any story about TimeTravel
@@Predator20357 That's pretty much the number one rule of time travel.
@@AlexanderPR2 Yah, you can’t get past it unless you basically don’t even time travel but rather look into the past without being able to affect anything, basically super memory.
This cartoon isn’t canon to the timeline
"I came hundreds of years into the future, lemme show you my time:"
**Pulls up a CD** LMAO
X is like Future Trunks from DBZ. He KNOWS how dangerous the enemies can be because he’s seen the destruction they’ve caused in the future. That’s why he doesn’t hesitate to destroy them at all cost. It’s still funny to see him just blow shit up
Shout out to the TRUE villain of the Mega Man universe... Cigma.
Bruhmento
The "s" was half complete...
Cigma balls
Ligma bro
When I was young and little I couldn’t say Cig-ma
I always called him Cig-Na-Main
X has stronger lemons
You've earned yourself a gold star
PowerCookie1 why is this not top comment
Get this man a medal.
PowerCookie1 Very long, blue, explosive lemons
Am I the only one who doesn't understand?
"All in the line of duty."
blows up everything in sight
I'm surprised the cartoon actually acknowledged this haha
X: oh, so you are Zero's dad, nice to meet you doctor wily
Wily: WHAT?
Mega man: WHAT?
Vile: Oh you son of a @#$%&
(blasts willy)
BAHAHAHAHA!
Well at least CDs are still used hundreds of years from now
lunch box Blu Ray?
Probably Laser Disc
They should've gone for NES cartridges
@@joseislanio8910 nah SNES since this was ‘94
Remember, everything old will be new again eventually.
I've always loved the design for Vile(not to mention badass name). Wish he got more love in the later games
Vile delivers his lines so apathetically. "Oh that's Mega Man X, he wants to destroy us or whatever." ~punches screen~
Nah he sounds badASS
Vile's voice actor is bad ass.
This show’s writing is hilarious. Everything is _slightly_ off from real mega man lore/designs, just enough to be completely nuts if you know how these characters and time periods are supposed to be.
i wonder what Zero would look like in the show
Probably like everyone else being all muscular and what not.
Trash like your comment
Man he would look even cooler
Probably just as stupid as everyone else
A train wreck
X-buster in cartoon: ☢️ 💥
X-buster in game: pew pew
Man, people really do underestimate Ruby-Spears Mega Man. For the time that this came out, despite X being something of a smash success, this episode was clearly made by people who have actually played the games before. There are episodes where Mega Man goes to dinosaur island as well as episodes like this that actually deeply care about the series. It's awesome.
X: That is Sigma, the most evil robot that ever existed.
Me: Really, because the profile says "Cigma."
"S" only exists in the future.
Technically, a C followed by an I would produce a soft sound. Hence, still "Sigma"
Ah yes, he was notorious for smoking a carton a day after all.
Ciggyma
Kigma
Man... I wish they kept this voice actor for Vile in Megaman X8. I don't know what it is, but he just fits the part so well. Say what you want about how stupid the cartoon is, I still find Vile's voice to be badass.
For how goofy this show is Vile is epic.
X in the games: *Is defined by his capacity for sentient thought and free will, negating the need for programming, and is the progenitor of the Reploids, who like him, are also defined by their capacity for sentient thought and free will. Strongly dislikes fighting but chooses to do so anyway out of necessity. Spends the end of most X series games lamenting whether peace and coexistence between Reploids and humans is possible and if the fighting will ever end.*
X in the cartoon: "i CaNt HeLp BuT tErMiNaTe MaVeRiCkS aT aLl cOsTS iTs iN mY PrOgRaMmInG"
Why is Wily's voice too damn funny 😂
"And he's programmed to terminate us..." *Punches screen* 5:36
BRING ME SOLO OONTA WOOKIE!!!!
I love how casually he says it. His tone doesn’t match his actions at all.
Wily: "What have you done? I needed that screen! I can’t replace it!"
Vile: "...oh."
I tought they decide what they want to do
This is the "Daniel, The cooler Daniel" meme I just can't unsee it 😂
What makes it perfect is even in the super westernized cartoon super hero version of Megaman, Sigma still keeps the same derpy expression as he does on the box art
They even misspell his name to cigma, which is way too funny lmao
To quote someone else in this comment section: “He replaced it with an S when he quit smoking.”
Maybe if this X hadn't been screwing around for so long he could have found all his upgrades. Two hadoukens later, problem solved.
That sick guitar riff when X shows up. 🤘
Megaman TV show: "I must stop Mavericks even if I need to blow this place up to do it"
Megaman X7: "MEEEEER! VIOLENCE!"
MM: "Then we'd better team up and send those future bots back where they belong!"
X: "They're going back anyway. I just explained this."
MM: "WITHOUT the lightanium."
X: "Oh, okay."
We HEARD the SILENT alarm
👏👏gutsman👏👏
X really just showed up with this gigachad look and decided "nah today I take no prisoners."
I love how subtle they made a lot of the references. During the fight with vile after saving mega Man you can even see him do the dash jump around
Barely a minute in and the robot masters are already getting bodied 😂
first thing you say when your boss hits the silent alarm?
HEY BOSS WE HEARD THE SILENT ALARM YOU SET OFF!
I'd have to say... the appearance of Sigma is pretty close to his real appearance in the MMX series. Most likely his head.
I love how X looks almost like a real guy in armor, while everyone else is drawn closer to the traditional artstyle
5:11 That ain't Megaman X, that's Megachad X
I'll never forget this eps.
One of the many favorite shows I had as a child 90's BABY
This show really shows what X is.
A badass, powerful, amped up successor to Rock.
Megaman: "We better send those robots back!
...without the lightanium!"
Yes thank you for that clarification I had my doubts.
The music when X shows up is so perfect.
This was absolutely, by far, my most favorite show when I was in Kindergarten. Better than Power Rangers, better than ANYTHING!!! But now, I realize it could have been so much better. They should do a reboot!!
NO. No "reboot".
Just do a proper MegaMan X anime. That would be awesome
@@bannanas117 And hopefully it'd look like the concept art instead of whatever they were doing here
3:49 when mega man x9 gets announced
I remember watching this episode and was blown away then I went to my local arcade with a friend it was a truly 90's moment
I absolutely love this show, and this episode is my favorite! I've seen it, like, a dozen times!
This is EPIC! I couldn't really appreciate this show as a kid but as an adult this is AMAZING!
I love even after first seeing this over ten years ago I have yet to see the rest of the episode.
X in the games, manga and Day of Sigma: looks and sounds like a tennager.
X in this episode: looks and sounds like a grown man.
Thank god zero was not in this
Justin Butler I was sad he wasn't to be honest.
At least there's the day of sigma
Yeah but in a Mega Man cartoon?
But i think its incredible Mega Man has his own comic book now in the USA, and that Mega Man X, Zero and all the mavericks are part of it too.. and both have crossed over with Sonic. Which is incredible.
+Allan Caesar I was sad too along with Storm Eagle not being in it
+Allan Caesar I have no way of getting the comics so I have to search online and so far I am ticked off that the Mavericks in it gets killed of TOO EASILY
Wily: (covertly presses button)
Gutsman: *WE HEARD THE SILENT ALARM, DR. WILY*
Damn after watching this, feel like to play through all mega man and mega man X Games again 😌
the thumbnail made it so it look like X was flipping them off XD
GekkanShounen just like zero after you beat a maverick
I just noticed!
Lol XD
Thanks for bringing it to my attention!
@@ComboMon- yes XD
ye if youre autistic
"Who are you?"
"I'm you, but with more pixels."
Nice how the brazillian dub says "I'm a Repiloid of the future". Truly a classic moment
Sizzling circuits! I haven't watched Mega Man on TV for years, but I still remember watching this show.
"I MUST CAPTURE MAVERICKS AT ALL COSTS" is not a "Hesitant and regretful X" of Mega Man X
Thank goodness I am not the only one that is bugged by that.
plot twist: that was X7's X :v
Where did you get that interpretation? Vile and Spark Mandrill could be working for Sigma of their own accord just like in the games...
Actually "capture" doesn't mean KILL, so I think the actual X would still agree
Raul megane
Late comment but I'm pretty sure X7 was the one where X temporarily "retired" because of all the death.
I never saw this episode as a kid, it would have blown my mind. Is it just me or is Vile's voice perfect?
