I imagine the parents would have never signed them if they knew what the field trips actually entailed.

There was an episode, but I believe the twist at the end is that the parents had a normal-ish field trip instead of an outlandish one the children had.

From the perspective of someone who loves space travel, yes it is.
Not for safety it isn't. In the first episode, Arnold took off his space helmet, froze, then they rushed him back to Earth and he only ended up with a cold. If this was real, he'd be dead.

Love this video. My husband was President of Scholastic Productions and led the team that brought it to television. She's a favorite at our house. We still have our Magic School Bus watches, etc. etc. and he has his jacket still too.

Not only did Miss Frizzle take her class to space 5 times, the first time, the Frizz actually abandoned them to fend for themselves. For a little while, the kids were “lost in space.”

Jack and Annie's magic tree house sort of fits into those criteria, but it doesn't shapeshift, so Bill and Ted and the Magic Tree House could do a crossover too, making for either a most excellent educational time travel adventure or a bogus series of time travel mishaps. Q from the game "Star Trek: Borg" and Gaudior from the book "A Swiftly Tilting Planet" would just force you to play Assassin's Creed, while Proginoskes from the book "A Wind in the Door" would help you and your friends learn how to watch your Assassin's Creed livestream.
OH MY GOSH! The MEMORIES! We watched "The Magic School Bus" so many times in elememtary school! My favorite characters were Wanda and Phoebe.

Funny thing, the other day me and one of my friends were getting on the bus (we have a male bus driver) and my friend thought it would be funny to implement the magic school bus into that day. We got on the bus and my friend said, "where are we going today ms. frizzle?" Our bus driver laughed
Cool field trips, though I've often wondered why Ms Frizzle went on field trips without parents' consents, and put each child's life on the line from being constantly shrunk, almost eaten, almost digested, blasted, baked, electrocuted, trampled in a stampede, and many more dangerous moments.
Bet you Ms Frizzle said "don't tell your parents we did this" and one of those bitches went home and told the parents, and they pulled him out of school

There was the time when they went into salmon eggs and a male fish gave them a "car wash" to fertilize them.

This not only NAILS the mannerisms of Ms. Frizzle? It does a good parody, by just taking the situation SLIGHTLY more realisticlly. (Namely, removing the one point in the show, that Ms. Frizzle seems to never let anyone REALLY get hurt!)
I like it a lot better then the 'budget' parody, which rather ignores...um...1. Her field trips don't cost money, and 2. Changes her mannerisms too much, so it doesn't "Click".
This one? Gets her PERFECTLY.

Watching this reminded me that I have become one with Carlos. I guess you could say that I'm emotionally constipated by this point; I haven't given a crap in days.
I don't see why Matt didn't point out the fact that Miss Frizzle explains science on every field trip, yet she calls the bus "magic".
Also, we need to see another sketch where Frizzle's students get a new and even crazier teacher, who instead of using a magic bus, travels through time and space in a blue police box.

I'd like to see the one where their new teacher goes around the world "collecting" various objects along with the students and explaining the "importance" the artifact is and the "financials" behind it. Maybe have all of them wearing identical trench coats and fedoras to make a distraction if something goes wrong. For some reason I'm thinking red for the colors of the clothing, why is that?
