      I put up something earlier, but, this knowledge came in handy over the last 2 days where I was helping out a community trick or treat thing that had an "Enchanted Forest," I helped decorate.
      Some of the path through had to be cordoned off with some cordage, so, those knots you showed helped out!!

    My grandfather was an elite Italian commando who fought with the partisans in WW2. Much of the war he was behind enemy lines so his evasion skills were amazing. He would often spend time laying in a small disguised dugout with barely enough room to even breathe in to avoid detection. He was a legend.

    Went “glamping” (6 person tent for the two of us with cots) with the hubby last weekend (he doesn’t “rough it”) and it threatened to rain hard. I quickly rigged up a rain tarp over our cooking/eating area solo with some para-cord, bank-line, and a few well placed knots solo as he watched me work. Afterward when the rain started coming down had, he finally asked how I learned to do that. I said my dad and your videos. We were able to cook and eat and stay dry. Thanks for what you do. I’d probably never survive the basic survival class, but I can camp/bike-pack solo in the rain with minimal gear. I try to practice with my “emergency” gear every camping trip so I’m prepared when something doesn’t go right.
    I’m interested in what you will offer in your four dry courses. I did a bit of it back in the ‘80’s in my college metallurgy labs. Castings were a royal PITA. Tempering/heat treating metals was tricky. There was a fine line between not hot enough and too hot before you quenched for the hardness you wanted to achieve.

    Hi. I want you to know the unintended, yet profound difference you've made in the life of my previously nonverbal, autistic grandson. His name is Xyon (pronounced Zion), he's five years old and until almost a year ago was completely non-verbal. He discovered you're channel because of the fire and the food you show in every outting. He calls you "Camper Bob", why we do not know, but he LOVES watching you. Now, when he leaves a room, he salutes and says "until next time"!! ☺️ I'm not saying you made him speak, but for whatever reason, he talks to you and about you. He pretends to be you. I'm sorry for the long post, but I hope you read it all because you're so very appreciated in our home! Thank you for your service to our country and thank you for what you do today! As I said, I'm not saying you made him speak, but you sure gave him something to talk about!! Thank you.

    • @five3016
      @five3016 Před rokem +1

      Light discipline requires a whole different set of rules. First no fire, second food choices like mres you don’t need a fire to cook them you can in fact eat them cold. They do have a heat source but without fire. Use either a small red light and or green light. Use a military poncho over your head if you need to smoke or even read a map. No phone as it produces light and like I said poncho. It would be nice to see him do one I enjoy his videos just like the next guy or gal. This is about camping or bush craft. Cool AF, Corporal. Got a few spiderholes on my little piece of land. Never No when I will Pop Out. Loved the Final thoughts. All about Self Worth . Self Worth is more important than money to me. Because with Self Worth You can generate and get all the things You need and do it without trying to take or steel it from others. Like the Scammers try to do on You Tube. NO Honor in that! No Self Worth in that. Justmytwocentsonthematter. Find something you love to do, do it and the money will come . Nice to treat money as my servant not my master. Love watching and learning from all your videos.

    Another fine Video, here in the Ozarks there are many small natural features that would make excellent improvised shelters if one thought about it. From blown down trees, bluffs and rock outcroppings, caves and roots. I've seen trees like catalpas get blown down and partially uprooted that continued to grow at really odd angles that provide excellent shelter opportunities. Also liked the finale.😎👍

    It's inspiring how many bucket list items you have! I would actually like to see that list, both fit the sheer amount of things checked off as well as see your future aspirations!

    Hell yeah!!! I get that it takes time to get things done. And then add on filming and editing on top of that. For me personally it’s you that I’m learning from. It’s not as much what your doing it’s learning new things. Teach me bush craft and survival. Basket weaving. Blacksmithing. I’m willing to learn from a no BS, factual teacher. The dumbest guy in the room is the one with nothing left to learn. Thanks!!! Keep it up!!!!
