one question brad how can that mays durocher day cover get such a high grade with the flap missing ps maybe a video in the future on flaps and assorted oddities thanks again
My '55 Mays has the cover flap. Anybody know if the flap only came on a few or if it was on all of them and people just tore them off? I have a hate/love affair with the flaps cuz I always thought it distracted from the '55 Mays, but the flap on the '61 Maris issue with the big "60" is pretty cool. Anybody know if the flaps add any extra value?
in my opinion a flap on the cover missing is worse than a poster in the middle of a magazine that is loose but still there thank you
Mine has the flap. I always thought only a few came with them. But your statement makes me think maybe they all did and most people would have torn them off? That would actually make more sense.
Any thoughts to splitting out this series to autographed issues and non-autographed issues?
Probably not. Main reason would be that I have barely been able to keep this series running as is with my limited free time. And secondly, in my opinion, the autograph component is a huge piece of that hobby that needs to be included in order to keep growing interest from new collectors.
