    Thanks for the video, I too need to shorten the crotch length and do the swayback adjustment! The way you have demo'd both makes it so much easier. Even tempted to do some sashiko on my back pockets too!!!

    Thanks Jo - so helpful. Presumably the construction of the Ash jeans is more or less the same, albeit with stretch fabric? 👌👏🤩

      Yes. Ginger jeans have a slightly different front pocket construction. X

    Did you use a twin needle for top stitching? Thanks for sharing this tutorial it really helps. ❤❤
    Please can you show a trouser or jeans tutorial that has a side or back elastic as these are good for those of us that have smaller wastes if you know what I mean for a better and snug fit that allows some give for comfort? ❤

      I didn't use a twin needle but you can if you want to keep switching in and out. The pietra pants by Closet Core might be worth a look for you.

    Thank you again, fabulous tutorial. I should like to see a zip fly if possible .

      If you search 'zip fly' on the minerva youtube home page you will find a dedicated fly tutorial come up in the Learn to Sew playlist. It shows a zip fly on a skirt and a button fly on jeans.

    Why do you film in reverse, I find it sooooo off putting 🙁

    • @joanneroberts2357
      @joanneroberts2357 Před 6 měsíci

      I film in reverse so that I can see what is in the frame on the phone screen but have recently been able to film the other way round. Thank you for your feedback.

    But it looks as though there’s a FOLD in the pattern to adjust for short crotch…which means it’s shortened the pattern there by 2cm not 1cm. Then, adding length at the hem of the front pieces makes the length from crotch point to hem longer than the back leg. ???
    And the shortened front of the jeans from crotch upwards won’t fit the back that hasn’t been shortened???
    Also AWFUL top stitching on the fly 😂. Come on Minerva, you can do better than this!

      Thank you for your comments. I have replied to you separately so that I can give you more information about the fit on my jeans.
