I have a hanger rack resting behind my bedroom door. This allows me to take off clothes and store for another use. No one sees it but I know I can rewear clothes twice and save on laundry. !!!!🤪
Great idea - I need to do something similar. Half the time I drape things I want to re-wear over our tub ha!
I clean up while I cook! I agree it works. I use something, I put it away. I make a mess, I clean it up. My dinner is done and my kitchen is clean.
Love that!
I wear blouses and sweaters twice before washing. I change clothes as soon as I get home from work, so I’m only wearing the item for nine or ten hours. I wear the same sweatshirt and pants around the house in the evenings for about a week.
I do the same (with my evening clothes)!
Same!
I add up the hours till washing as well. I do it more for the reason that over washing shortens the life of your clothes. I like to buy good quality natural fiber clothing when possible and try to only buy it if I love it so I want to keep it looking nice as long as possible. My family is from Italy all my family there air wear things more than once. Airing them out is good for the fibers. I've heard this is good for the environment as well so that's nice too.
If you go outside the home they’re dirty, I can’t imagine doing this, but I don’t wear shoes in my house either so I’m considered odd in this country…other countries people do not wear their shoes inside. (The carpet stays so clean!)
I agree with your tips but the tv stand is a life saver - all wires and dvds get hidden and great for storage. Nightstands can house meds we need on hand, eye drops, napkins, creams etc.
For sure!! 😊
I have the towel bar and hooks. I feel like the towels get drier on the bar, and more quickly
True - they definitely dry faster on the bar!
I wouldn’t say it’s ‘lazy’ to keep the items you constantly use at hand ,it’s called Common Sense .
Your tips are more environmentally friendly then many other sites. Thank you. ✌️💜✌️
I grew up in the tropics and we only wore things once because of perspiration. This has been the hardest habit to break! It took me decades before I was able to wear something twice. My rule now is if I didn’t spill anything on it and it still smells good; I can wear it again.
Thank you for sharing! :)
Remotes basket! I did this and love it. All remotes in living area go in here. It is a lovely wood basket that’s attractive and fits all the remotes. Perfect solution. Never search for a remote again. !
Wonderful!
I have a teeny tiny house, but we are empty nesters now. In fact, my husband built me a pantry in my water heater closet. Anyways, I appreciate these tips as they work well for me in this season of my life. (The fantasy clothing hit home hard!)
Yep, I think I still have a few fantasy items in my closet! :)
Great ideas for how to be more efficient! I added one of those toilet paper holders to the cart of my Walmart online order as I was listening. The washroom in the mancave needs some help. 😆
Haha love it! 😊
Dressing Your Truth is also great to find out what colors work for you and your personality. Tons of free info online to
Thanks, I'll have to check it out!
I live alone, but I’ve heard that some people will just have one laundry basket in a common area, such as the hallway and everyone puts their laundry in there. Almost wish my mom would’ve had us do that because every Saturday morning she yelled up the stairs early in the morning for us to bring down our laundry. My laundry was in a bag, so usually I just threw it down the stairs. But I could’ve slept in a little bit more if she didn’t have to yell for my laundry! 😂 I’m sure I eventually figured out to throw my laundry down on Friday night.
Tracy
Lol 😂
Ha, too funny!
Hey, that's a bunch of great hacks. I'm lazy and get overwhelmed easily by not doing some of these already. Good job!
Thank you I’m so glad they’re helpful!!
Hi Taryn, I love your ideas. Especially the mesh laundry bags, never thought of using them for traveling. Beautiful. Thank you.
I’m so glad!! 😊
@@tarynmaria_I couldn’t find the link for the mesh bags…
@@annetteburchett-taylor4420 Sorry - it's here! amzn.to/3U49yLj
Thanks for the amazing tips❤
You are so welcome!
I've always put my dishwashing liquid into a pump dispenser just for efficient use, faster than tilting a squeeze bottle, and it comes out in a measured amount, so no over-use of the liquid. Now that I have arthritis in my hands it's even more efficient for me. I've got to look up those silicone trays/mats you use by your sink!
Oh yes, I love those mats - I linked them here if you want to check them out: amzn.to/3xEUk82 You can toss them right into the dishwasher (or even washing machine) to clean :)
Thanks for practical types. I appreciate them & you! ✌️💜✌️
Thank you so much!
Goodmorning sweet Mary. Happy you had the blood pressure checked and they are taking care of that. I thought your blood sugar had dropped out. Each day brings its own challenges. One step at a time. God bless you. Becky from Arizona
I'm right there with you on the less laundry and do it myself. Especially jeans.
Totally!
I keep kitchen cleared all over, not just one space. It works. Use all the kitchen or just a little. Clean up before you leave. It is ALWAYS ready to go! Great way to live.
I SO agree!!! SO much easier :)
Here is a great kitchen tip! I use a large plastic bowl where cuttings from veggies go and all wrappings and other used and empty stuff goes. (Empty tin cans and bags) Take it once at the end of food prep and dump it. Clean up is a breeeze. Instead of cluttered counter, peace! Rachael Ray taught me to do this and I have done it since!
Yes!!! Rachel Ray’s garbage bowl, I love it!
Washing things when they are not dirty also makes clothes last less. And its not really enviromental. And you'll need more clothes.
Thank you for this video, it is a real eye-opener for me ❤
You are so welcome!! ❤️
You are so welcome!
You can use colors that don't suit in places like pants, shoes, bags. I can't wear gray tops, but gray pants are fine.
Thank you!
You should set up each room as you function. Works really well. I set up my master bath and walk in closet according to how I get dressed for work in the morning. Saves alot of time. Even if I change my mind, about what I am wearing, all of my clothes and shoes are easily arranged. 😊 12:24
Thank you! 😊
Hey, where do you buy the big wave-shaped sponge (from your kitchen, I guess 🤔)?
Drying yourself with a hand towel and THEN use your big towel for comfort and dampness. This keeps your big towel fresh and less washing.
That basil pesto from Wegmans is great! I have used that with pasta and grated Parmesan to make a side dish.
Love that you recognized the pesto, I agree - it's so good!
I work for them.
Great tips, I do some that you have mentioned. As soon as you mentioned your clothing may not follow a lot of peoples idea of minimalism, it made me laugh because I don't own a lot of stuff, but i have a lot of books on my bookshelves 📚📚
😊 Thank you for sharing!
I agree with you about your stuff…I currently have a big house, i need casual and dress clothes for my job, this makes for a large closet, but they’re separated…once I downsize i’ll downsize everything….but i see my mom in her independent living facility and she still dresses up…so I’ll probably always keep some dress clothes.
I have an abundance of craft inventory, fabric for sewing, sewing notions…but it’s all organized and someday will also be donated….
If I’m not using something i like to donate so someone can make use of it.

- We also cook a lot and preparing veggies is very time consuming. Solution for (at least) some dishes: buying frozen veggies. Still healthy
- I hate to clean the kitchen after a good meal. So, I also do dishes while cooking. Great tip!
- we have 3 laundry bags: for 30, 40, 60°C. Laundry is already separated before washing (sure, we then still separate fair/dark colors etc.)
- use sock clamps: no need to sort socks after washing, single socks don't get lost. But use of a laundry net is mandatory!
- every item in the household should have it's own place to be easily found
(Some of these tips might not work so well with children or reluctant boyfriend)
Thank you so much for sharing!
I tried one of your favorite products and that is the Lemishine disposal cleaner. Worked great!
Yay that’s awesome!!
I love this disposal cleaner.
I may have missed it, please share where you purchased the decanters on your kitchen sink.
So sorry! These are them :) amzn.to/3vwcYi0
@@tarynmaria_ Thanks!
Link for mesh bags…. Am I just not seeing it?
You are right, I totally forgot to include it :) It's here: amzn.to/3xBYuO5
I keep a mess bag on a hook in my laundry room, dirty socks go in the bag, zip and wash
Great idea!
😊😊😊
Thank you!!
Love your tips! Where's the link for your soap decanters? Also, the name of the app for wardrobe color? Thanks a bunch!

Hello I just recently started listening to your videos, I've already picked up some good ideas and habits to implement. Question for you I noticed barefoot on your kitchen floor so my question is how do you keep from getting foot marks on your laminate floors? I find it almost impossible and I have all laminate floors in my home.
Hi there! You know, I'm not sure! We have wood floors so I'm wondering if that could be the difference?
@@tarynmaria_ that could be the difference, in our community development other people have asked the same. I called out floor manufacturer for laminate hardware and their answer was mop with a neutral ph. I do and dust almost daily and wear slippers or socks.
Wait if I'm listening to all your advice, wouldn't that mean no new subs to new channels, and throwing away ones with no new content in a long time? 🙂purge!
I went to the app that you suggested to get my colors and it is not free.
I checked again and it is! You can't use all of the functions of the app for free but you can snap a pic and it will analyze your colors for free :)
