I've owned 3 of these (sold one) and honestly this is the first I've seen anyone not fold the cash once. It sticks out the tiniest bit and helps to pull it out. From a usability perspective this has been my favorite wallet by far.
Yeah it sticks out, which I showed in this video. You can absolutely do that if you wishâŠfor me itâs an absolute no go for folding bills in half. Iâll keep holding into quarters
Love mine! Tip: Taylor from Carry Commision is right down the hall from Rustic Heirloom and did a pueblo collaboration edition of the Hitchhiker... it's way easier to get. That's how I was able to get my hands on one đ
Great looking wallet and review đđŒ. I think they should have made the wallet slightly wider so that the lanyard didnât actually touch the cards (like it does now!).
This wallet is number 1 on my wallets-to-buy list. Ill have one someday.

After many attempts I was finally able to get this wallet it's great but the one thing I wish is that it was a bit wider so it could fit other currency besides us if it was as wide as my D'Avella witch I also love I think this wallet would be perfect
Along the same design lines, but without the snap, is the Grove Supply Co. It easily holds once-folded cash without the extra exposed.
This wallet is bad ass. Just got it yesterday. First off you have to learn how they sell it. Subscribe to their newsletter, then you get the info on the drop. You got to jump on that drop as soon as its released or its gone. 3 minutes sold out. The wallet is perfect sized, not as wide as the D'avella. The snap is small but secure unlike other snap wallets that are bigger and can be a hassle (dual card bodhi). Not to knock speakeasy but they have nothing under 3" width. The cash pocket is perfect, couple bills fold in quarters, lot of bills fold in half. The paracord is nice and won't have any effect on your cards like the contour or ridge scratching them up. Think I found the perfect one...for now haha
They need to widen the withe a little to not show the bills , just a tad bit then Im game to buy one

Ive been considering one but my only complaint (and its 100% a being picky complaint) is that it would be nice if there were a way to have much quicker access to the main card you use on a daily basis, without unsnapping
It is cut with a dye so there is no knife work. It is a brilliant design for minimal construction cost.
I had to remove the lanyard because the melted ends were scratching the wallet in-pocket.

I wanted to try one of these but I have totally had it. Itâs some bs game every week. You go on even ahead of time and no matter what you do, itâs impossible. You have people that actually collect these things, believe it or not, which makes it damn near impossible to get one. So I say to hell with it! Itâs just a friggin wallet, so Iâm done trying. BTW, Iâm so glad you showed that MAJOR flaw with the cash. Itâs a total deal breaker for me as Iâm not folding my cash in thirds. Trust me, trying to get one is NOT worth the weekly frustration.
Your issues with this wallet is NOT nitpicking! These are deal breakers for me for sure. I have found much better options.

Same here. They're impossible to buy. I ended up buying a CrazyHorseCraft origami wallet from Etsy. Cheaper and with more capacity.

What are the characteristics of the wallet the measurements?
Disappointing for an overly-hyped high-demand wallet. I got mine a few weeks ago. I'm concerned about the weak button snap and the paracord lanyard touching the credit cards, ruining the wallet's aesthetics when closed or buttoned-up. Rustic Heirloom is busy meeting demand for the Hitchhiker Wallet that they've sacrificed customer service. Buy a Loyal Stricklin Johnny Slim Wallet instead.

I have been trying to get one of these wallets for months now. These ridiculous drops in the middle of a work day make it so normal people don't get a chance. Now that I know cash doesn't even fit in the friggin wallet without folding it up like I did my lunch money in elementary school, it may be a good thing. Perhaps they will widen it a bit and get more staff to keep up. HA

The limited drops pisses me off. I'll end up with a OpenSeaLeather, LostDutchman or Willow which are really great wallets that are at the top of my list.

I have a Scudo 6 open wallet. It's excellent. Side vents reduce weight. The lid opens to 90 degrees, the previous limit was 45, to facilitate cleaning. Its hinge is friction fitted and the lid stays where you place it, which adds to the feeling of quality. Closing the wallet is great, KLUNK! The carbon fibre spacer for the ID window gives the wallet a sleek appearance. The ID window lets you display an ID or use it for tap and pay or travel cards.
The capacity is more generous than the stated maximum of 12. It easily holds my six daily cards, my Tile Slim tracker and some folded notes. Despite being metal, itÂs neither too heavy nor not too large for easy carry. ItÂs built like a tank, and cards are held incredibly securely. ItÂs tactile with all the edges being carefully rounded, and quick and easy to open, select a card or two and replace them. Cards arenÂt damaged or scratched, unlike in some slim, band wallets. ItÂs an unusual design. The nearest equivalent is the Flipside 4but this is all plastic, whereas the Scudo is CNC machined aluminium and coated for wearability and scratch resistance. The latch is made from Delrin.
On the bad side there are some handling issues. It has taken a while to become used to how the Scudo works. When opening it to Rolodex cards, they can occasionally slide out of the base to the sides. They can also slip down into the hinge which prevents the lid from closing. The best way of preventing errant cards, is to only open the wallet to the suggested 35-45 degrees and to keep it vertical. I sometimes use my thumb over the cards to keep them in place. You quickly become used to it, although folded notes, especially polymer ones, can act as a spring, pushing cards up away from the base, increasing the possibility of slippage. On the plus side, having some notes dampens down the rattling of cards in the base.
You can therefore only open it in one orientation; ID window down, top plate up, latch at the top. It can be confusing giving the symmetrical appearance of the wallet to get that right when you pick it up. If youÂre left handed, the latch is probably going to be travelling in the wrong direction for you. You cannot open the wallet Âupside down with the latch facing you. Doing so, the cards fall out from the base and into the hinge, making it impossible to open - possibly an unintentional security feature?
I have probably made this all sound worse than it is, but it does take a little muscle memory and learning to become fully comfortable with it.
In conclusion, IÂve been using the Scudo for about three weeks and I've been very impressed with the capacity, the speed of access and the feel of it. It looks cool, to my eye at least, and you know your contents will be well protected.
@@davidwatson3035 i got a scudo also with the open back but when i go to scan my id card for the building it doesnt work. I have no idea why.
So im on the fence with this one. It would have been better if it was waterproof.
The new Scudo (not gen7) but their newest edition exotic wallet looks very nice. It offers 10 cards capacity + cash clip accessory instead of the previous 7 cards edition. It also has open back for easy ID viewing (probably not ID scanning due to metal case blocking a portion of the card) .
Iâll probably get slated for this but I donât like it. I donât like the whole patina thing and I donât want my wallet to âstretchâ when I put more in it for it to then be too big afterwards! Iâll stick with my Gil-Tek RAW2 in Ti.
It seems that leather wallets just arenât for you. As long as youâre happy with your wallet thereâs no need to upgrade.

Not even close. This looks nothing like any Trayvax wallet and is all made of leather. And Trayvax wallets are hybrids where they mix leather and aluminum or steel together.

I am so ready for these shops that only do these damn drops to ether stop or close. No normal human can get them. But it does not matter its all set up anyway for only Hi up CZcamsrs to get them before anybody else. But no one else can get them because they have all been given to CZcamsrs. There should be a law.
