Try spinach with alcohol for a green print or turmeric powder for a yellow one.

Thanks! I purchased this contact print frame from Bostick & Sullivan, and I definitely recommend it!

Is it necessary to use printing paper? Watercolor paper wouldn't work?

Watercolor paper would work great. I’m using a heavier weight paper here that’s good for print making. Ideally you just want a paper that can hold up to all the liquid!

beautiful!Does the color fade over time ?Is there a way to fix color?

thanks! it would fade if it were in continued contact with sunlight, so you could frame it behind UV glass to preserve it. to my knowledge, there isn't a way to "fix" this type of print like we do with gelatin silver processes.

@@dianedurant1543 With turmeric, the contast can be enhanced with dipping it in a mixture of water and baking soda. Have you tried it with these? I'm just wondering what it does. For UV protection, a UV protective spray can work just like with alcohol inks.

not really--it all depends on the quality of the sunlight and how each specific mixture responds to it. i definitely have noticed some mixtures don't take as long as others.
