I found your channel when you were sick at the beginning of the year. I had just tested positive, myself (at the very end of January) and was clicking around on CZcams, looking for videos/vlogs so I could a) see what to expect and b) have someone to commiserate "with," and I've been around ever since :) So when I saw this video in my recommended feed, I was confused...why is YT recommending this old vlog I've already seen?! And then I realized. UGH. I'm so sorry you were sick again! But thankful it was less severe this time, and happy to see you up and back at it! I hope you continue to feel well and strong!!

So sorry to hear. I m SO careful on our tour avoiding the public and close proximity to anyone. I’m always masked on the plane when I’m in coach. I flew business class to Tokyo and back so that was ok as I kind of had my own space but I masked up getting on an off the plane. I tested positive on the other tour as the guy I was training (who sat right next to me) cam Don with it so I knew I would in time. I quarantined for 5 days but had no symptoms at all so that wasn’t too bad. I hope you are the same here!

I like that they give you an actual suite and you don't have to quarantine in a small inside cabin or your crew cabin. It's nice to have more space and a window. A balcony would be even better. So many people I know, including me, have had covid more than once...it's going to be like the common cold at some point. I was a competitive roller skating in dance and figures and I remember having to sit it out during an injury and it does suck so much. Glad you're better now!

Hi Jordan. You have been given a thermometer and pulse oximeter. This measures your pulse rate and blood oxygen levels. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Oh girlfriend! My nephew and I had to quarantine for 5 nights on a Carnival cruise in June. It was sooo bad. I lost my sense of smell and taste, and slept all of the time. Food was warm at best for my nephew. We had free premium movies, but it wouldn’t work until the 3rd day 😕. We never saw any crew members…food was placed on a metal bench that blocked us from coming out of the room. Food was delivered, a knock on the door, and the crew member must have run away because no one was to be seen. You were sooooo lucky to have a kettle!! We were given a large red biohazard bag to put our food containers and thin wooden utensils (no kidding) into.

Again!!! That's the risk when you travel! I fly once a month and I ALWAYS mask everywhere and constantly wash hands and sanitize! It's actually become a habit for me. Then, when I come home, I self quarantine for 5 days and test before returning to work...just to be safe. Glad it wasn't so bad this time! Take care and be safe! Aloha🌺

Thank you for doing that. It's careful people like you who have protected so many others (as well as yourself). It's ridiculous how many people mock those who took these precautions. The world is so backwards.
My sail date on Voyager of the Seas was August 10th, and I tested positive for COVID on July 11th. Fortunately, I was over it in time to sail. The isolation sucked, but I figured if I had to get it, it was better to do so when I had only one thing planned (attending a magic show). It could have been worse; canceling the trip or during hockey season. I mean, I really wanted to do that sailing, as I have been trying to do the Baltics since August 2020. At least that canceled sailing, with the bonus FCC, paid for that sailing and one on Adventure of the Seas last August.
I saw the Voyager ice show twice (I think you were also performing on Adventure when I was on it, but I hadn't known about your channel before that). You had an impressive solo. It almost makes me sad my next two sailings are on ships without ice (but they are going places I want to see).
Sorry you had trouble getting vegetarian meals during your isolation. Salad with a side of salad is kind of weird.

Jordan, we just got back from a 9 day cruise from Dover and up the Irish Sea. (Glasgow, Belfast, Liverpool, Dublin, Cork, Holyhead Wales) My sister tested positive after Liverpool and missed Dublin and Cork. She did not do well in quarantine. You are fortunate that you have things to occupy yourself. I'm glad you are back on the ice!

You kicked Covid’s butt! I had Covid at the beginning of this month and still get winded walking up the stairs😂 I wish I could jump back into working out. Hopefully this week sometime:)
That was the cruise I went on! You were missed and yes so sad with the Rolling stones concert. Met a couple on board from Cleveland who were going to that concert. Hope you feel better now and be sure to enjoy your trip to Boston across Iceland and Greenland... so jealous... want too!

If you have a zip lock with you, you can put the cold food in it. Fill the sink with hot water and float the zip lock in it to reheat.
You were so patient with the meaty meals coming to your room! Not that you had a lot of choices, but, still!!!

The small grey finger device is called a pulse oximeter. It will give you your pulse and how much oxygen is in your blood stream. Some even show an abbreviated ekg.

That square thing goes on your finger and is called a PulseOx.
It is used to read your pulse and your oxygen saturation.

I’m confused, I could have sworn I’ve seen you eat meat in past vlogs before, just not white fish because of your allergy, but mainly burgers and steaks not pork or chicken.

A good reminder of why it is important to continue to wear masks when flying- you may not know you are positive. I know rules say you do not "have to." but you could be protecting yourself and someone else.

You need to ask for an exterior cabin, it’ll say on the booking site you have a port window so you’ll get that kind of suite 💕

It's a pulse oximeter to measure your oxygen saturation. Interesting they are providing those. You probably only would need to check that if you were having trouble breathing.

The finger thingy is called an oximeter or an O2 monitor
It's a pulse oximeter and gives u a reading of the oxygen saturation in your blood. U want to see a number greater than 95%. It also give u your heart rate which usually is 60 to 100 for adults. (I'm a retired ER and flight nurse 😁) I hope u continue to be symptom free. Catch up on your rest and movies. 😘

Can you walk around the main part of the ship when you have a free time?
When I tested positive in late July, mine kept showing positive for nearly 3 weeks!
I didn't get an oximeter until I was well and truly out of my isolation time.
The worst symptoms I had was loss of taste for a few days, everything had no flavour or anything just texture. 🤦🏼♀️
And now I'm 5 weeks on with the ongoing cough that won't leave!
Most doctors would say you don’t need to test again because some people will keep being tested positive for 30 days or more….some won’t after a few days. Everyone is different 🤷🏻♀️ but eh up to you if you want to keep testing. It’s just so frustrating so many different stories.
