The left-wing alliance in France has won the most seats in a dramatic election, dealing a surprise blow to the far-right party of Marine Le Pen.
Le Pen's National Rally was aiming to become the biggest party in parliament for the first time but was stopped by tactical voting and collaboration between her opponents.

Not even really socialists, they are all different kind of social democrats from LFI to PS/Generation (well some people in the PS and Generation are not even soc-dem but just straight neo liberal like François Hollande or Aurélien Rousseau which was Macron's minister for a time)

Who the F is Philippe Marliere? a grumpy old prof who envies Melenchon's intellect and oratory skills (at best), and a disgruntled right winger who is devastated to see him win (at worst)...
