Very helpful in troubleshooting. I’ll need a replacement pump. I wanted to add though, you don’t have to disassemble the motor that much to get to it. If you take the 6 screws out of the outer housing that the power switch rests on you’ll have enough clearance to pull the motor out as one unit. 6 more screws but half the wiring to mess with.
Was struggling with mine for about 45 minutes. Haven't torn it apart yet, but I'll get around to that tonight, but man you remind me of my buddy Justin. Came for the repair, stayed for the awesome personality. God bless ya.
Thank you a lot for saving me from throwing out my spot cleamer, I was about to give up if I never watched you r helpful video,I found out it wasn't spraying because the tube going to the motor had a kink in it, and my cleaner was a Hoover PowerDash GO Pet+ Portable Spot Cleaner,I appreciate it very much.
Thanks so much for making this video. I received one of these for Christmas and it didn't squirt water until I watched your video, tore it apart and got it working again :) Quicker and quite gratifying than following the warranty process!!
Thank you! Our sprayer wasn't working, and I didn't know where to start. Luckily, I didn't need to replace the motor, but I needed to get access to the hose to flush it out!
Good Day. Thank you for the video. I bought one of these that broke down on someone from marketplace for 30 bucks. Took it apart with your help. LOL...I took a multimeter to a wonky-looking ground wire to the pump....sure enough...no continuity even with wiggling....looks like the factory was at the end of a spool of the ground wire and spliced it with tiny cramp splicers and heat shrink wrap.....Gonna grab a couple of dollars of wire and fix it tomorrow...nice barely used Hoover Spotless for a fraction of the cost.
Nice teardown! I think that clear hose that fell out is a ventilation hose intended to cool the pump. The suction attachment is on the dry side of the pipes under the recovery tank, so I can’t imagine it would ever be intended for liquids. I believe it is to be run from the attachment point you showed, over the motor housing and into the pump housing (there’s a small rounded cutout there that accommodates the hose.
Thank you for making this fantastic easy to follow video. My husband did buy a new water pump on E bay ( Jiayin JYPC-2AC 110v) and now my machine sprays perfectly. But while working on it the same skinny dry hose inside came off(same situation you had on video) and he can’t figure out (you forgot to show on video) where it connects back too. Can you please tell us or a quick video where to connect it back to.
I have a hoover powerscrub deluxe that has an issue with the hose sprayer not spraying enough water. I posted a vid about it on my channel. I checked the turbine pump (Which is air powered) and i closed up a crack in the impeller and gave it some wd-40 which didn’t help. At this point I don’t know whats the exact issue. I did notice when i take the sprayer apart and turn on the unit without the sprayer it gives off a small amount of water. I also notice when I first place in the solution tank, the clear tubes behind the dirty water tank doesn’t instantly get filled with water. I have to wiggle around the machine to get water through. If I took off the tubes for the solution water and put the tank in, water comes out of the thing that distributes the solution to the brushroll and hose attachment. Btw i have zero issues with the sprayer for the brushroll on the main unit. Just the hose attachment. Btw priming the pump does nothing. I could be holding the trigger for 5 minutes and still a small amount of water comes out.
It may be you reservoir (that receives the water). Also check thee trigger mechanism. I’ll put something together that may help diagnose it stay tuned . Will try to post later this week
Update: something I didn’t mention is that after plastic bonder failed the first time, I bought some new one and I waited it out. I tried it now and it works great. I saved myself some 60 dollars on a plastic pump. The impeller on the pump had a crack and when i spin it, the impeller spins but not the shaft. I sealed up the crack and it works great now. Also if you have an idea that might be more permanent than plastic bonder do let me know. I do not anticipate for it to fail but it’s possible.
Honestly if the motor is fine and no holes in the hose then the only other option is the attachment. And if that’s sealed tight then there’s no other way to improve suction
Check the tank, remove the tank and place a sheet of paper over the port . Turn the unit on and if it sucks, the the next step is the tank. Remove the upholstery tool and place a plastic bag over it and if it sucks then the problem is the tool. Keep me posted

How do you remove the hose?

Awesome!!! thanks for Sharing Jay
Thank you Jay. You made me so happy by giving the tip. I am wondering why the repairman did not clear it finaly.

I’m in the same boat lol did your husband ever figure it out?
Anyone figure this out yet?? The one end doesn’t appear to connect to anything.
@scotty1942 yes it just tuck in the corner- the other end is not connected to anything
Interesting video. What would be the cause for there to be little to no suction?
A few things can cause low suction- clogging, a gap along the suction path which allows air to Escape or the motor is weak

@@monroevac That wont be necessary since i fixed it already. Though if you still want to make a video about this then go ahead.
I have this machine and its leaking from the solution tank, around the bottom valve...can it be fixed or replaced????
I want to clean the hose really well. Does the hose detach from the machine?
Hmmm…..I believe It’s possible,…..With difficulty, I’ve never replace this hose. I’ll try to Do a video on it. Stay tuned
Can I add a longer hose to this unit?

HOW DO YOU FIX NO SUCTION
Check the tank, remove the tank and place a sheet of paper over the port . Turn the unit on and if it sucks, the the next step is the tank. Remove the upholstery tool and place a plastic bag over it and if it sucks then the problem is the tool. Keep me posted
Hopefully my Hoover sprayer works after this video
