  • I've seen main breakers put in every single panel of a building before, and it's really not necessary. Let's talk about what the purpose of that breaker is and when does it make sense to install one in a panel.

Great video! I'm new to this business and your videos have been really helpful. If you have any books or papers recommendations, I would really appreciate it.

Do you need a MCB Distribution panel if you have a main disconnect? Can you just run straight from main disconnect to M.L.O and shut off from the disconnect? Why the need for M.C.B?

If your disconnect is fused or protected in some way upstream, then certainly you can go from the disconnect switch directly into a MLO panel. That’s actually what we do for a few clients that have policies against hot work or if you have a need to cut down on fault currents by using J Type fuses in the disconnect switch.

can you go over how to create fire alarm strobes and their coverage on revit? for example, if you want to use 15cd AV Strobe, how would you show the coverage on revit?
