Rien, definitely doesn't get enough recognition. I feel Etat Libre D'Orange in general doesn't receive the recognition it deserves. Everything I have tried by them has been high quality, artistic, and had a uniqueness to it. Even their cologne evolves into a very unexpected Leather. Back to Rien I love the contrast of raw animalic leather to bright and soapy aldehyde. Rien is easily my favourite from ELDO. Dalia always brings a nice perspective to your channel when she makes an appearance. Does Dalia have her own channel?

Just bought Rien Intense Incense as a blindbuy after watching all possible reviews on it. Such a beautiful scent. I have tried Full Incense by Montale , which felt too sweet incense for me and not having anything artistic about it, but this incense I like way better. I feel like the aldehydes are giving a sweet vibe coming throughout the fragrance. I feel like it is perfectly blended. I have decanted Ombre leather by Tom Ford , but it felt like it was smelling like when you go to a shop and open up a box with leather shoes in them, but after a while the cardamom and the sweetness pushes out. But this leather in RII is soo much better for me.
The intense version sounds more my style...I need to sample more from ELDO...these might be two I will try to get samples of. I love you and Dahlia together (love her necklace too)! Happy New Year to both of you!🎆🎉🎊
Had a tiny official sample of Rien. Loved it. Blind bought Rien intense. They do smell similar but I liked my sample better so I ended up buying Rien too and am waiting to get it in the mail now. It has a chemical turpentine like smell in it that is insanely beautiful to my nose. Can’t wait to get my bottle.
Great review Sebastian & Dalya. I only have Like This from this house, but am interested in learning/smelling more. You two work great together. Plus, I think Dalya is such a beautiful name:)

My 20 piece discovery set from this house just arrived. In the process of exploring and so far I’m loving it. And you’re right RIEN is not for beginners.So far I like EAU DE PROTECTION, HERMANN A MES COTES, COLOGNE and ATTAQUER LE SOLEIL. Thank you guys

I've never tried any from this house but this one is on the top of my curiosity list and the art design of this brand is to die for, amazing. I would love to see a fragrance inspired by squirrels, just imagine a squirrel in a tuxedo on the bottle?! The scent, inspired by spring in a big green park, the sun shines and the florals, green, woody and nutty smells, families laughing at picnics. oh my :D. I'm from Portugal
Hi guy's just purchased rien incense intense for hubby and my first thought just spraying it is so different with my untrained nose i dont get funky i get dark forest mossy damp dark green classy man in a suit or tux high end smelling Im getting leather but a freshness is so apparent to my nose from aldehydes maybe its one of those I as a woman do not care for it because its so dry and not a hint of sweetness. But I cant get over how classy to me this will be for my husband ! He's gonna love this we will have to go out fancy where he can dress up to wear this. It would be a waste with t-shirt and shorts this is special occasion. To me anyway.

OH, you said incense! That got my attention. You two light up so much when patchouli enters the picture! I am trying to understand, what do you mean by "animalic"? Could you name a couple other fragrances that you would classify as "anamalic". If it's Cumin then I get it. I think I would prefer the Rien Intense Incense! Loved the review. Thank you

Joshua Esposito yo i just got one myself! My experience is totally different from everybody else’s! Mine is an initial blast of leather and aldehydes. Some funky animalic notes but dissipates quickly into a very powdery violet fragrance. Some wearings it gets so powdery it smells just like unscented talcum powder. When it goes the other route it becomes this jammy violet fragrance which is divine. Totally not what I expected. Not mad but i just wish i get more incense, which i barely experience. Maybe the talcum powder smell is supposed to be the incense(???)

I prefer Rien II.i see these all Giger's nightmarish ominous visions.insane powerhouse,so decent application is necessary.Original Rien is more human and carnal.

Great vid I love you two's mini arguments :) That said, I find this really hard to reconcile. It's a hairy beast and like being unshowered but you like it? :) I have an opportunity to blind buy this at a pretty decent price and I love incense but I am totally unsure on it!

😳 wow, rien intense incense is really funky but intoxicating in a strange was. My first impression was moth balls or an old soap. My nose also picks up a floral note.
My brain do not understand this fragrance 😂 i would like to wear it but if others just get that moth ball smell it wouldn‘t be that cool. Really strange and fascinating.
To me they are very similar. My first reaction to Intense Incense was public bathroom/urinals, because of that weird soap they put in the urinals, but in a good way I guess. Rien Intense Incense to me is similar to Chanel Antaeus.
I adore Antaeus so that's good to know.
Your descriptions remind me of Kouros, is this similar to Kouros in any way?
1. I must agree with Dalya in regard to cumin. When I ground the cumin seeds in mortar, a lemony smell firstly appears, but then it is full on sweaty. And it is not the onion sweat, it is the other kind, "the bad one".
2. It happend to me several times, and with multiples fragrances, to perceive a scent as animalic, only to hear a man that he finds it soapy. This dichotomy of the sense of smell that you have with Dalya is what I find interesting in your videos with her.
I don't know why you try to make her agree with what you get from a perfume :-). I mean I understand, but if she has a different opinion, that doesn't disqualify yours. It just shows how the genetics of genders acts.
Aldehydes are a huge turn off for me. Horrific experience with Aldheyx by Laurent Mazzone and equally revolting Blanche by Byredo. Hot steam from the dry cleaner that hits you in the face. That’s what these 2 smell like. But I am willing to give a try to Rien Intense Incense. Im very intrigued by this review. Also, if you could provide review of your favorite aldehydic fragrances in the future that’d be greatly appreciated.

Yesterday was the second time I wore Rien Intense for my nightout and I got like 5 usolicted compliments of women and they all loved it and kept smelling my neck 😀 I wear fragrances really for me especially something like rien intense but it just shows when you confident and/or the scent works for or on you then you can get compliments with everything and you dont have to smell like A candybar or an ambroxan bomb... rien intense smells f₩$k£*&# sexy on me and I love it! I just bought A 50ml of the regular one used on eBay im looking forward to smell it!
Rien is unwearable to me, and I wear a lot of different scents.

Yes I have tried both, several times actually. They unfortunately do not work on me. You guys were right at the end of the video saying that these two scents are very 'out there' and more geared towards adventurous noses.
What's the most animalic scent you can handle Joe?
