Thrasher and Coercer are great for Clone Soldier hunting. But both tend to get you in much closer and more susceptible to getting pvp ambushed. but they are cheap and a good tag can buy you multiple of each ship.

I suppose the Purifier has not the respective armor to tank for a transporter or negotiater. They're hitting really hard without any tracking issues on a long distance. Also the Negotiater points you on 24 km.

The cheapest ship I use to hunt clone troopers is the algos, can reach high dps from a range above 15km to orbit the clones.
The most fun ship I hunt clones with are a rocket worm or a rapid light missile cyclone >
