  • I've seen motorized shades, pull shades, and permanent blocking solutions for skylights...but I like my skylights... most of the time. Watching a movie in the middle of the day, well, that's when I realized it was too bright in my living room. Time for some creativity.

    This is a perfect solution for my situation, and thankfully, no sewing. My issue isn't the light coming in, but the hot sun, on the few days of hot weather we get in the Pacific Northwest. We are currently experiencing an uncommon heatwave, ( it's 90 right now and we expect over 100 the next few days), so I am desperate for a quick, inexpensive fix, and I have everything I need at home all ready. Thank you for posting this.
