  • This video demonstrates how fast and easy it is to install a SwitchGrade because of it's open-faced design.
The SwitchGrade is a game-changing new bike component that lets cyclists change their bike saddle angle and effective seat tube angle on demand and on their terms!
The SwitchGrade is a simple bolt-on mechanism that replaces your seatpost rail clamp and is designed to be compatible with a wide range of fixed posts and dropper seatposts. The SwitchGrade is ideal for those wishing to make uphill climbing easier and more comfortable. The SwitchGrade is also ideal for those with bikes with slacker seat tube angles because it increases effective seat tube angle by around 1 degree.
The patent-pending SwitchGrade features 3 locked positions ideal for (1) climbing, (2) descending, and (3) rolling terrain via indexed slots, each separated by 10°. The key benefit of the SwitchGrade is that it provides riders the choice to optimize their saddle positions for each of the 3 major trail features inherent on all rides (incline grades, decline grades, and flatish grades.
For climbing, the Switchgrade improves biomechanical efficiencies to grind out and spin up long, steep, or technical uphills by moving the rider forward and over the bottom bracket. The experience is similar to that of riding with a steeper seat tube angle but amplified by the stable push point afforded by the saddle tilt which negates the climbing grade.
For descending, flip the lever and instantly create more room to maneuver around the saddle. And for undulating terrain, keep the saddle flat and change up as needed.
The SwitchGrade will also be a boon for adventure cyclists and bikepackers who spend hours on the saddle and want to ease pain and discomfort from pressure on the perineum and ischial tuberosity (sit bones).

This looks to be very well engineered. I am eager for you all to release it on to the market. I just completed the pole you sent via email, stating that I will definitely like to buy one when you begin selling it. The machining looks great. It will be fantastic for my SUB (Sport Utility Bike).

Thanks for the kind words! Engineering diligence and durability is paramount behind the success of the SwitchGrades. Agreed will look like a valued addition to your SUB!

is it compatible with ALL Droppers? or do they need specific shape and measurements?, eg. ONEUP, PNW, KS, CrancBrothers, ...

We have 4 versions of the SwitchGrade and each of them works with a range of droppers. For example: "Type 1" is compatible with OneUp, PNW, TranzX, Fox Transfer etc. Type 2 is compatible with RS Reverb, e-Thirteen, KS Lev, X Fusion Manic, SDG Tellis etc.

Saddle will set a little bit higher when installed which im trying to avoid. Not for me.

When you tilt the SwitchGrade for descending, the rear of the saddle drops nearly 30mm which gives you much more clearance than if just ran your saddle flat.

I don't understand why people would need this. You have a dropper post. If you lower your seat, you don't really sit down.

Negative saddle tilt puts you in a better position for climbing - flat saddle for support (instead of sliding off), opens hip and torso angle for better breathing and more consistent power. More benefits includes eliminates back pain and groin discomfort. When descending, positive saddle tilt increases clearance, standover, and control with your knees and thighs at speed or in the air.
