It's too bad that you didn't enjoy Book Lovers! I loved the book basically for the same reason why you disliked it, the female main character felt so relatable to me as someone who loves my 9 to 5 "boring" work and climbing the corporate ladder, loves living in the big city, and would hate living in a small town. But I could definitely see people not relating to her.
