Sewing is such a cool skill. I loved Brooklyn! A sequel just came out and is getting great reviews. I was gifted Thirteenth Tale, but still haven't read it. A WWI focused series, The Regeneration Trilogy by Pat Barker (Silence of the Girls) is supposed to be very good.

I am always impressed by your sewing skills & I love the idea of finding thrifted clothes that you like but know you could love with a few tweaks & being able to make those changes! I am not good at sewing & it's not the time in my life to learn, but I was just online last night trying to find a simple black tank top that would fit over my bust AND down past my stomach. I have left cloth shopping in tears basically since I was 13 (now 36), frustrated at my lack of options & not having the funds to afford half the stuff anyway. You are so talented & I love seeing you trying out different hobbies, like sewing & watercolor. You make your friends the cutest things!
This is so kind, thank you! Clothing shopping is so difficult because we all have different proportions and most of the time the pieces don’t fit us perfectly, but if you ever want to try hand sewing, I’d recommend it! 🤍
@@StoriesForCoffee I may try more sewing in the future. I have 4 kids, including a 2 year old! And I already crochet & cross stitch & dabble a little in making beaded earrings. I don't have time, space or energy for more hobbies lol. Though I want to do them all & even have a ton of polymer clay haha.
