maybe the next project for your house is to install a rainwater catchment system to collect and store rainwater. Also install solar panels so you can have electric power while off grid.

I suggest you buy a mosquito net and try sleeping out in the porch. We did that here at home when a strong typhoon left us in a situation like yours. Survivor mode. You can do it!
I surely missed seeing our sweet baby Bella. In this video she is once again telling her own stories. I just loooove those hand gestures she makes and the adorable baby sounds. I believe Mirco saying he has never seen a powerful typhoon in his entire life. Philippines is always prone to typhoons and earthquakes and Pilipinos are used to that and Pilipinos are resilient. Take care Mirco, Tere and baby Bella.

Typhoon is happening in the Philippines every year so the best thing to do is to always prepare anything that can help your needs during this time.
I have relatives in Roxas, Palawan that lost there house and all there belongings was washout by the rain water and strong winds.
There Christmas is still happy somehow because at least they are alive and well.

You both are doing ok there. you still have your home standing not like many others. taking the shower like this i have done. hygien is important and you are both doing the very best you can. you will get your garden and yard looking perfect as time passes. If possible if u are able to fly out do so. even a few day at least till power and water is restored. Important you all remain safe and careful. i
I like this one. It is more positive and more fun. After this kind of disaster we have to move on and live or make do with what you have in hand to continue living and try to help who are in need if you can. Kudos to you guys. Mirco that is classic in the Philippines, taking a shower in public but i am not expecting you to do it naked. I was laughing watching that scene. Maybe some neighbours are watching. At least it does not look like a bad sight at all. Lol.

@Pagemaster i know it is in their backyard but still in public purview. Filipinas are short in general and it looks like their fences are 5-6 feet in height. I doubt it that those people passing by can see the nakedness inside the backyard unless they are more than six feet tall or walking on a stilt. Si Marites siguro nagkuento sa iyo? Lol. I suggest you make a water pump (poso) or you connect to electric pump, and standby generator, in case of brownout or typhoon you have electricity and water.
