$38 for a drink at the pool? Madness!
Yeah, I'm glad I wasn't alone when he said that. He's making a big deal about "shocking" us at what a value trip he could have with only $1000, and he gets a $40 drink. Um, no lol.
One hack I started doing was just ordering stuff on Amazon and having delivered to lockers placed on the strip. You can order water, snacks, and save tons of money.
Where r the lockers located?

You are right on! I am a comp player and prefer PH over all other casinos for the reasons you stated and you didnt even mention the Mircle Mile Shops with over 150 shops. bars and dining options. You have it all at Planet Hollywood,

PH was my first Vegas hotel, and it’s a great first time hotel and great bargain, and with the miracle mile it’s pretty affordable. However, I’m from a VERY small town in Washington and starting out center strip was a crazy adjustment to the culture of the strip. Now I’m totally accustomed to it and love it. PH was great and I love that it makes a great Vegas vacation reachable for all at different income levels, but starting out in the center strip was, for me, culture shock. As always, great video!
something you should mention when reviewing a hotel is the noise levels. For example when you're trying to sleep can you hear everyone outside and others slamming their doors or people yelling when walking past your room? I always struggle to sleep in hotels for these reasons.

Just reserve a room at the end of a corridor away from ice machines and elevators. Downside - You will have more walking 😢
I've stayed at PH probably half a dozen times, never had a problem with hearing anyone else from my room.

Great video, we are going to Planet Hollywood over Thanksgiving. We have stayed there many times, love it. Great location and the Hotel/Casino have a great vibe. We have eaten at the Strip house, now we are planning on doing happy hour at Koi as well. thanks for the tip.

Stayed there 2 weeks ago and I 100% agree it’s the best!! The Heart bar is now remodeled to GLASS bar and it’s absolutely beautiful as well as still a cool vibe. Coffee Bean is still the pro-hack, but KOI was closed for remodeling 😢. Earl is always clutch, Blondies in the mall is fun and reasonable and there’s TONS of food and drink options very close. Great stay for the price and location!!!
James, you really are the best reviewer when it comes to hotels and where to stay. I came across your videos when I was looking to stay at Palazzo and your information was invaluable. I've been to Las Vegas a dozen times so far and even with my knowledge of the area, you always come up with something new that I haven't seen before. Awesome work. I appreciate how honest, complete and entertaining your videos are.
I absolutely loved my two stays at Planet Hollywood pre-pandemic, but would never stay again. I'm a man who reads reviews a lot and the amount of people who have stated their rooms have been robbed either while they were gone or as they slept is disturbing. The property knows they have a problem and they do nothing.
While I'll never stay again, I do go back to it every trip because I love the place.
Love PH. Great location, cool rooms, great rates, fun vibe, good casino / table availability, connected to Miracle Mile, decent food, etc, etc.
I like the fact u had to throw in a cake pop at SB... lol, AWESOME!
Couldnt agree more with Strip House. I went there solo earlier this year. Had great service and great food, for a great price. The manager came over and checked on me twice while I was there. And overall PH really is a great place for the price. The only issue I have with their rooms is the lighting...which I remember you mentioning in an older video when you stayed there. Glad to see you back doing Vegas videos!
I booked 11 nights next spring and have the Flamingo booked for 11 nights and then El Cortez for 5 nights just to get out of Idaho after winter is done. I have a remote job so I'll chill at the pool, check out the shows, maybe a trip to the Grand Canyon.

I stayed at PH back in May. Very polite, gracious staff. I'm big on breakfast so Cafe' Hollywood is where I ate every morning of my vacation. Didn't have to go very far within the hotel either to see the Dixie Chicks perform. I had the best time.
One of my favorite reasonably priced hotels. Gordon Ramsey Burger is very popular there, but I also really like the Brazilian Churascuria & Korean BBQ place in the Miracle Mile shops as well.
I agree with you completely about Strip Steak. I try to go every time I’m in Vegas. The atmosphere is so great. I always like to get away from all the bells and whistles for dinner and they certainly fit the bill. Superb food as well.
Did you say $38 für a sugar drink in a plastic cup full of ice-cubes at the pool ??? Maybe I am old fashioned, but that is just sick. Wouldn´t pay more then $8 for that

Planet Hollywood is always my go-to when I travel to Vegas. It really is the best.
PH is my go to! Has the best of each as you stated. I like the casino vibe! Always get great cocktail service while playing too. And, all rooms have mini fridge too
In 1999, I had a complete steak dinner at The Shoe for $4!

KOI happy hour definitely one of the best in Vegas. Done it several times. Tried Strip House last stsy at PH, and I agree it's fantastic. I believe I had that same Old Fashioned. It was like their featured drink on the menu so I had to give it a try. Bar top seating is excellent as well. As always, great video man.
I need to give PH a try. This was a great review. Loved the style of this video. The red shirt at the beginning of the video looks great on you! The sushi looked delicious as did your steak. Great overall price, especially for the summer!
I loved this place as Aladdin for the location and choices. I like it as PH, too. So many options and price is right.
PH was the first hotel i stayed at before the name change. The place is filled with food options and shopping. The rooms are large and comfortable. One of my favorite hotels

I think they had some deal after the pandemic and that along with its close proximity to the MGM properties drew me in! Food and service was exceptional!
I love the dancing girls on the bars on the weekends at _Planet Hollywood_ with the music blaring throughout the casino, similar to _Buffalo Bill's_ on their weekends! I need to check out that happy hour at Koi, sounds amazing! Another great video James!

Stayed there in January. It was an all around good experience minus the casino. I'm not griping because i lost... i just didn't like the game selection.
I agree with you 100% PH might not be the best in any single category you listed but it definitely hits all of those marks and makes it the best overall hotel in LV

You still spend like crazy. Nearly a grand for an early week visit with barely any gambling is still a lot.

Although I personally think MGM Grand is the better all-around resort because I believe it has better dining options, the better pool scene and better lounges..................I definitely think Planet Hollywood is the more charming of the two by a wide margin and a robust runner-up in the all-around distinction. 🙂
Planet Hollywood just makes me feel comfortable in a way MGM Grand doesn't with its snazzy, vibrant atmosphere coupled with being one of the more intimate mega-resorts on the Strip. The only other budget-friendly resort on the Strip that closely rivals Planet Hollywood in the all-around category that also makes me feel right at home is Sahara, but I know many will be inclined to write that off based off of location alone, so it's not at all hard to see why Planet Hollywood is a people's champ. 😇
I love KOI, but otherwise I really wish Planet Hollywood would refresh their dining options a bit in a way Horseshoe and Paris have been doing. That's really my only major critique of PH though, as it's always a delight visiting when I'm in Vegas. 😊

Ultra hip king in the south area is where I stayed loved it plus the scene 21+ pool it’s one hell of a good time
Always hit PH for breakfast and for morning walk south. Really enjoy this casino but never stay there...still huge Flamingo fan. If I was younger I might consider it. Nice coverage.
I LOVE The Tipsy Robot!! Those drinks are so refreshing!! I will visit KOI on my next trip!! I always look in there but never ate there:) I will return to Vegas...October, 2024...for Halloween! Our 2022 Halloween trip was so LIVE...we have to come back next year. We were in Vegas back in July...it was so hot but Planet Hollywood is a very nice hotel! Yes!! That Steakhouse should be at The Bellagio...that's where I stay when I come to Vegas:) That Starbucks was crowded when we were there:( Thank you so much for your in-detail videos:) It helps out a lot!!!❤🧡💛❤💛

I suggest Prime steak house. It's great food and extremely reasonably priced. You will get a striploin or filet Minoan and others for around $25-40. I even ordered uber eats to my hotel from this steakhouse in the past and came hot and perfectly cooked as delivery. This is a special little steakhouse many don't know about with amazing reviews from all customers!

Room was a great price, but drinks at $20+! Try coming to London, it's expensive here but you will feel rich based on your spending.
I like Planet Hollywood as well I have visited on many past trips while staying across the street, but was just there last week and not sure why they are not replacing the carpet in the casino. It appears to be caused by the water damage from last year's flood? or maybe they are doing something to it not sure but looks terrible/worn out and don't know what is going on? Was disappointed with Gordon Ramsay burger with 40 minute wait after ordering and much higher prices and food not as good. Great video and awesome to see you had a good time!
Do you have to tip the robotic drink preparer ? Someone has to clean , maintain and refill those supplies 😂. At least I hope they do 😅

We really like the PH.. always had a good time there.. we;ve got the resort suite wh the bathroom that overlooks the strip.. beautiful... we did lose something once where we had to go into security office... while in there another lady was very upset claiming that her room safe had been broken in to... this was a couple years ago ... we've stayed there prob a half dozen times since.... be careful peeps

Their pool sucks. It a concrete jungle. If you want to sit around the pool, you have to pay otherwise you need to sit on lower level flat concrete slab.
Not that I would pay $38 for a drink, but there are just too many people in the comments section taking it personally that this is not as much money to you as it is to them.

I totally agree! I love staying there and getting breakfast at Oceanside. Great deal and great food! The heart bar is fun people watching the air is fresh and I didn’t mind the pool.
Walls are thin at planet Hollywood.
If you drink alcoholic beverages, you can save a lot of $$ by taking your own booze. I you drive there, take it in your car. If you fly to LV, go to a local store and buy your own booze and take it to your room. I use to party with my friends in our rooms before going out on the town and get loaded on our own booze. Then we would head out and we would only buy a drink or two to keep our buzz going. If we gambled in the casino where we stayed at and wanted more booze, we would go back to our room and drink more of our own booze or make a drink and go back to the casino.

@@Coolist we were considering going to a nicer hotel aka breathless riu palace , lopesam for a few days and then for the party hotel between republica and royalton for another few days..
I love Criss Angel two shows the last two years. On show was about his young life and the other was his illusion show. We loved both of them and got great seats halfway back with good views at a reasonable price, less than $70 as I can remember.
I feel at the most at home at the Venetian but we are going to have to look at PH next time. Great job, James!
