Bens physicality in skits like this is hands down amazing. Slapstick can often be done badly but this is bulletproof.

I would’ve liked an extended version where they did want the conversation included. Would Allen & Adam be 2 sides of Ben talking to each other, talking to the 2 sides of Hamish; would they take turns speaking for each occasionally asking their puppet questions to make the conversation relevant; would they just have a random conversation as entertainment…would love to see where they’d go with this!
They would act like the shoulder angel and devil, advising them how to respond in their conversation haha.
I want an extended version of Hamish going to the bathroom with full service...im guess Rowan is gonna do the wiping

This video is absolutely ridiculous, I laughed so much. Alan pulling Ben's head up by his hair every time it drooped was so good, the comedic timing was amazing in this video!

Usually I snicker slightly and nod my head at the references when I watch these videos. This one had me in stitches with uproarious laughter. My wife asked what was so funny so I showed her and it was awesome to watch her reaction bereft of context. Do yourself a favour and show this to your significant other.

I like to imagine that at this point the restaurant skits aren't skits, and the VLDL team are just voicing their complaints about genuine experiences they've had in places like these

Some observations.
1: with the caressing of the beard we can tell Rowan is a gentle lover
2. With the yanking of bens hair and the slamming of his face into the table, we can tell that Alan is NOT.
That or Ben owes him money.

@@burntpriest Ignore them. It's pretty obvious they're just finding excuses to make something funny unfunny for them. The fact that this type of humor is quite rare tells you that.
Yes, this was kind of unexpected, but I like how they can surprise with stuff like that from time to time. Pure comedy, which sometimes even feels inspired by Monthy Python, some of the bits bring me back to the stuff I have seen from the legends of comedy.
One of all time favorites of VLDL purely for its absurdity and literal take on a common phrase. This could have easily been part of the golden days of SNL in the US. I can envision Chevy Chase, Dana Carvey, or Will Ferrell as restaurant guests. Your writing and timing are superb. You should all be very proud of this one.
This is one of my favourite sketches of all time. Top stuff lads.

This restaurant series is really somethin else. I kind of dread them in a sense but always end up thinking about them later on, like the next day, and bursting into a fit of giggles that I cannot explain to anyone.
I'm at a loss for words, was giggling at work like an idiot. I imagine this must've been awesome for the cast as well, this skit shows that sometimes being an actor seems really fun. Definitely going into the favorite category, along with the "gonna watch it multiple times" one
