That first level was the spirit of MM1 compressed into one horrific creation. It was beautiful.
Honestly it wasn't garbage. It was an amazing creation that clearly took a ton of effort. It wasn't even super trolly, even if it had a few random troll elements in it. The part with the mole getting the P switch was legitimately cool.

@@orangemonks894 Oh for sure. I'm not saying it was a flawless level by any stretch. Just that it clearly took a ton of effort and skill to create, and it *mostly* gave you the information you needed to figure each section out.
It was clearly an epic, and you have to give the creator credit since there weren't any evident dev exits. May have been but not seen, though with the minimal troll density I don't think so.

Translator's note: I'm not sure if the title refers to the folk tale about turtle and a rabbit racing each other. This level is done at a turtle's pace and even if you want to speedrun it (i.e. you want to be the rabbit), you can't because it's an auto-scroll. So even the fast one has to take it slow and focus (i.e. can't be sleeping).

I tried to finish and upload my remaining 3 levels I had started to built in SMM.
I managed to upload 2 of them and for the third one I already got the message after the clear check that it's too late now.
Nonetheless I am glad I finished making the levels at least.

This has been one of the best videos in a while. The spring at the end of the 3rd level was classic.
The genuinely really hope the entire SMM1 community can come together to actually clear every single stage in the SMM1 database.
There are probably one or two impossible levels in SMM1 that user old exploits, so we probably can't.

That first level was truly a nightmare but for some reason i begrudgingly respect it. Maybe because it was tough without low brain trolls and enemy spam. It was a metaphor for my life, tough, painful and full of pitfalls. But if you learned from them and were persistent you could eventually get through it lol

If we all worked together it really would be realistic to have every level uploaded beaten by someone and have no unbeaten levels.
Thats actually not true there are some levels still uploaded that were done by past glitches that haven't been cleared that have had them patched so the level is unbeatable.

With the glitch levels that can't actually be beaten, you can always report it to Nintendo. Also, you should definitely edit the level before playing it.
Wasn't there some levels that are impossible. Like for example some might require the phantom jump, which got patched out. (Including in existing levels.) Those might need to be hacked a bit to complete.

Ok that 1 shot on that carry bowser level was pretty amazing.
Iirc if a SMM1 level was only possible through certain tech, and that tech got patched out, that level is now impossible. (Ex: If a level was not beatable without double-triple jumping, now it's impossible)
You didn't even have to wait for an update. You could literally just reset your game to Version 1.0, make the level, and then update software and upload it.
This is different from SMM2; when you play a level, it has the properties of the version it was uploaded in.
My point is, unless they went n removed those impossible levels, it's still not possible to beat Super Mario Maker.

i watched this guy play mario 35 for 18 hours yesterday, he live streamed the end of mario 35 and it just wouldn't kick him out of the game, his name is kratos aurion plays and you should raid him sometime ryu, he's a pretty good streamer but he's underrated and i think he deserves it
