this guy plays better on just his sticks than i can on my entire set
this guy is so much fun to watch.. simply amazing!
This is the guy that got me interested in Classic drumming and the traditional grip.
First time I've ever seen a true lefty setup and I loved it! Great solo!
Pure class! One of my all time favourite drummers and a huge inspiration to me. Always love seeing your videos with Daniel!
My favourite living drummer!!
Loved it! Nice to hear the high hat click through the entire solo (except the stick click part). Respect.
Awesome musician, those drums sounds heavenly
Dan has a case of drum face
This guy has some serious class
also 03:33
that reverse traditional grip and flipped kit just hurts my brain...XD Am I the only one who feels this way?!?!
nope
Watch it with a mirror then.
Dominic Borrelli actually , I hold in the reverse traditional grip.
Dominic Borrelli he might make history
Yeah I'm not too sure about the flipped kit like jeez
Fact: his right foot is an independent limb, that hi-hat consistency is unrivalled.
awesome Mr. glass
Daniel is amazing !!! Thanks for sharing :)
In Melbourne Australia in the year 2000, I had the pleasure of being in the opening act for RCR...
I stood behind Mr Glass off stage. I learned more that evening than I ever did.
Still my greatest achievement in life
Corner Hotel? Great memories of that night, hung out at the bar with the RCR guys until the early hours of the morning!
@@timhyland5742 actually it was at The Hifi in 2000 with The Louisville sluggers
Dude! Holy! That was amazing!!!!!
Absolutely incredible!!!!
Loved it.
Una locura! Uno de los mejores bateristas. Es un maestro del Jazz!!!
Yay, another lefty! I've played a left handed setup for 16 yrs now.
seen him live once, amazing yes..
Excellent!!! 🔥🥁🔥
YEAH!!!!!! great Daniel!!!!!
Sensacional!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Part of the solo with sticks only was brilliant. I'm impressed
Esto sí es arte. ❤️
Magnífico.
Amazing. He needs to be showcased more
Beautifully played..even if it does seem odd watching left handed.
still love it!!
Superbe!
Oh my God I absolutely love this guy holy cow..lol
Crazy!
I did that exact same solo the other night.........I felt very tired when I woke up though.
Your joke is so good, only a few of us caught it. Respects paid in full.
he did more with his drumsticks than what I do with my whole kit
powerful jazzy old style solo
That hihat timing consistency tho🙌🏿💯
Oh dang
When he's not busy running the WWE he's apparently spending a lot of time at the drums!
Haha
wow
Wow
Extraordinary skill. :P)
nice.
That hi hat??!?!? The rhythm!? Muting the snare mid drum roll!? Hitting that beat on the drum sticks!? What lab was this man made in???
Hope you get to play on the new DW Slingerlands.
what a buddy rich tribute "CLAMS!"
A drumming version of Tim Roth :)
Awesome Mr Glass
What was that ending song :0
I remember when he was a waiter at TGI Friday's in Honolulu.
Great solo. Quick question, I don't know if he's mentioned it in another video, but why does he play with the traditional grip on his right hand. I can only assume that its because he has a left handed set up. I've seen other drummers in my drumming style of Banda Sinaloense who also play with that grip on the right hand. I guess it must be a choice and if it works than why not.
Jesus Alfonso Canal I'm pretty sure it's because he has a left handed setup
+jacksepticsuicide yeah I figured. I just wanted to know if he's mentioned it in another video.
He is left handed most likely. The whole kit is arranged for a left hander. I see no reason to look for another reason than that. If you've seen other drummers hold their sticks this way they are probably left handed as well. If you are right handed I don't think you should try this.
Amazing solo though
jacksepticsuicide thats for sure, I love his style. And he is just showing how much fun he is having, which is always a plus.
I can't even talk while walking.
Check him out on drummers resource podcast, he’s great
the stick tapping part made me laugh lol
let's see your solo ... I bet you can't even hold the sticks right ...
Igor Shorman you probably can't either
I am not the one criticizing an amazing player like Daniel Glass :) I am the one learning :)
Igor: I don't think he was criticising him, I think it was genuinely funny to them. Some things just do that for no reason, I smirk at certain bits out of amazement.
J T internet hard to understand
What hihats are he using?
Have you ever thought how much money that would be to afford a drum set that big? You would need to be a person that has a passion for drumming!
Matt Lazurko true! I could just dream to have such a big drum set and so many cymbals! I use a drum set that costs about 3.000 euros and 4 cymbals! I dont wanna know how much his costs!!
Uhhmm I think you guys have the video reversed. LOL Just kidding, Daniel is AMAZING. Not sure which is slicker...his playing or his hair hah! Joking aside...this was beautiful, wonderful and glorious all at once. It was Beuderfulious!
What did Daniel use before DW. He’s a top class player.
I still think they have that plastic lid sound.
Still prefer Ludwig, Gretsch and vintage Slingerland.
Roy, I've used DW for 26 years :-) But I love all the vintage stuff too. Have you checked out my DVD all about the incredible story of vintage drums? It's called TRAPS. More info here: danielglass.com/portfolio/traps/
Ohhhhhh Daniel Glass, you need to go to the hospital for a serious bone check up. You are are very flexible and fast. Don't forget, you still need the check up hahahahahaa.. I love what you do. More grease
I humbly ask for assistance: Starting at 2:58 , what the hell is this even called? I want to look up some videos/articles on how to practice this and I don't know what to even look up, heh.
Peace.
Haha. Well, it looks fun to me. To each their own. Peace.
His left handed setup is making me uneasy lol
nobody mentions Royal Crown Revue ?
This man is the father of Wyatt stav! Its identickly
his face
Mario Duplantier please :)
hi hat consistency
Didn't know Vince McMahon played so well,I thought he was just a wrestler
the guys set up lol
Much prefer him to the rock drummers today.
Great old style playing..
i just can't see anything there without some music behind it.
I mean it's cool to play stuff traditional for jazz, but I never understood why big jazz guys play all the crazy tom work with traditional. Am I the only one that thinks this?
Yea from my perspective it is a bit odd cause I never feel like I have enough power with traditional grip on the toms, but if it's all you've ever done or you want to stay in the style it may be more advantageous.
With traditional you have more control
Some party really sucked tho
Hey hi I'm Heresy, I thought the drum was made of glass...
Looks like a lefty
wtf :v
