Oh I love Rose Dore by W&N! My 1st tube was 10 years ago and mine had the misprint pigment information on it too. According to their website it’s supposed to be PV19 and PY97. Amazing they still haven’t corrected this misinformation on the tube after all these years. Thanks for sharing! 😍

I love that beautiful new watercolor color. As far as paper in sketchbooks go, I would buy a watercolor sketchbook with paper 300 gsm. Cotton paper is the best but more expensive. That is what I always look for first.
Weighing in from the U.S. on the Rose Dore pigment info... I went to the art store today and looked at both a small tube and a big tube. The small tube, which I purchased, has the mis-marked pigment PY19, but the larger tube was marked correctly with PV19. I also bought the Rose Madder Genuine and it does smell like roses! It's wonderful! 😁😁

Hi Alyona! I’m so pleased that you bought the Rose Dore; it’s such a beautiful colour! The Jacksons sketchbook that you said you really like - does it lay flat without a problem? I’m loving the Etchr Everyday sketchbooks but I don’t like the fact that they won’t lay flat and it makes working in them quite difficult sometimes. So I’m looking for a watercolour sketchbook that will lay flat! Always love your videos, thank you for sharing your supplies and techniques. 💗
Thank you Natasha! It does seem to lay flat, as I always keep it open for inspiration. Either way I also like to use sketchbook clips on each side if I need to stretch the page a little. :)

How similar is that Rose Doré to Daniel Smith's Quinacridone Coral?
DS Quin Coral is quite vibrant from what I remember. :)
Rose Dore is closer to DS's Organic Vermilion.
I found the Daler Rowney pad on Amazon under the DR brand but I am in the U.S, but I’d check there to see if they deliver to your country 😊
After reading in the comments a few viewers saying they found them on Amazon I went to check and ordered 3 of them!! 😅 They look exactly the same as the Hobbycraft version from what I can see. Didn’t even think of checking them out on Amazon thinking these were limited edition! 😁

Hi Alyona ... that Rose Dorre is a beautiful color. I'm going to take a guess that the 2nd pigment is PV19 instead of PY19. Without my glasses I've make the same mistake when trying to read the Lilliputian text on the tubes. This reminds me a bit of WN's Pale Rose Blush gouache, which I love.
I am a little confused, is the Winsor Newton Rose Dore watercolor the one that has a rose scent, or is it another type of watercolor? Thanks!
W&N Rose Madder Gen is the rose scented one. :)
Hi Alyona, I love the Daler Rowney pad too. I don't live near a hobbycraft but they do sell it online and when it's on sale, I always pick up a couple so I don't run out. You should check their website if you cannot find an alternative.

As one of the viewers left a comment it seems that they have made a typo on the tubes as it says “PY19”. :)
