I like that forestman inn, really nice building style but maybe needs a little toned down, as at least from the quick view looks very busy but would love to have smaller well detailed medieval buildings like this. I could not imagine how popular it would be though at a cheaper price point considering so many could by 1-2 mountain castles so easily. Yeah I am super bummed I cant save up to buy it now. As for City I think the best one was the aquarium, but I only collect castle... Also those 2 old west trains are really cool... I think I like the one with buildings better since its much more playable. And also special mention is hug island.... I am not so keen on the arms either but that kind of quirkyness is perfect for these brick link designs.... something LEGO would never come up with... as far as the rest of the island though is packed full of play fun. I would assume more than others though that this idea could be in the works for a couple of years... I gues the 3 in1 has a skull island but people really want is something like this.... The ship was cool but not nearly as fun or playable as the island.
Thanks, really good thoughts. And the island whilst it has flaws I agree looks great for play 🎉
Im an adult got back into LEGO for the Lions knight castle... I could not resist... I am amazed at how lego has changed over 25 years to more model like stuff and neglecting the core themes and play features.... but the balance of play for all ages and sexes and beauty and size of the castle make it the best set they ever made. This one will be up there too, and so much moc potential.... @@Stud-Lord
I could see that white market that looks like the train station, would go really good like lined up right “behind” that similar train station, like you could put both on a back to back corner of street where train stops along end, but the “pier” continues into the market from train station, would be cool n realistic that way, and solve the “where do u put it” issue lol
The Sushi store wasn’t on the list?! 😮 I suppose not everyone likes it. That was for me BY FAR the greatest design with fantastic details. Great video nonetheless and love those castle themed sets!
The 3 that I absolutely loved are the Riverside Scholars, Hug Island, and then my favorite one of them all wasn't mentioned which was The Elven Castle. I doubt it will be made, but I loved having a completely different looking castle for a fantasy medieval look.
agreed. It is cool, but no i didn't mention it as tbh I don't think it's going to get made either.
@@Stud-Lord Sadly I agree that I it won't get made. I'm hoping maybe the creator will put instructions for it on Rebrickable or something. I'm planning to take screen captures of the various images to see if I can recreate most of it on my own best as I can.
Thank you for your comments on my build LUCERNA ABYSSUS - THE DEEP SEA EXPLORER. I wanted to make something different and a bit steampunk so I guess that worked!
My pleasure. Thank you for designing a cool build. It’s really out the box and looks great - in a slightly terrifying way! 🙂
@@Stud-Lord Deep Sea creatures a supposed to be a little scary - I think.
I’m definitely a castle fan and love most of the sets in here but oddly enough the bakery at the wall intrigues me the most. Probably because it reminds me of the 80s modular sets like the Guarded Inn. I really miss buying smaller castle sets in store shelves….
Good point. Those were always great to pick up in the store
So many good ones…the aquarium, the seaside market, the forest men one, and that ship!
I've got a seriously unhealthy relationship developing with that ship
- The Sushi Store
- Medieval Seaside Market
- Wild West Train
- American Steam Locomotive
- Italian Street Corner
Ha. Full out prediction. Love it 👍
I like to get the wild west train set and with full tracks to go with it.
Absolutely 👍
I liked the eleven castle
Avalon island would be so cool for fans of King Arthur Lore but i doubt it'll be released aha. So i wish to see a continuation for the buiyers of the general store with the train ❤
Agree 👍 but yeah I would love a whole Camelot theme lol, I'd lap it up
Already built The Riverside Scholars it looks fantastic, but niche theme.
Cool. You’re right though it is quite niche - designer’s had a lot of support so far though
you didn't put the big black castle on the lava which is also amazing
Terrific video! Great picks and highlights. One notable omission for me was the Sushi Restaurant. Love this design.
Thanks so much! And you’re right it is a cool design I should have included
Designer of Stephenson's Rocket also designed a couple more carriages, but dropped them for the BDP
Didn’t know that. Thanks 👍
The nightmare fish sub is pretty out there
Totally
That is mine!
I’d love to get me 2 of those medieval harbours!
I know it looks really good. Bit of extra blue base plate with some trans blue tiles to finish it off 👌
Hey dude, great vid. I designed the modular hospital you don’t seem to think would fit with the current modular line-up, would love more feedback on why you think the other fits in better so I can improve for series 5! I purposefully tried to design mine so it would fit with the existing line-up better than the others I saw online (including the one you mentioned). I find it a bit too modern. Would love your take on it, and anyone else’s in the comments section too! 😊
Hi! I think both hospitals are great and would be good additions. Yours I thought was more detailed along the lines of a ‘ucs’. The other more colourful and in keeping with other - perhaps more ‘junior’ style sets although I don’t like using that word. But i think the other matches more with most of Lego city offerings. Just my opinion and I could well be wrong. Either way, well done for designing a set that’s already had a lot of support! That’s awesome. Appreciate those like you who develop new ideas 👍
The Imperial Frigate Minerva and the Ballista tower are the most beautiful in my opinion, I'd scoop those up real quick. Many cool designs, too bad we cant have them all.
Both amazing, but yeah that ship is seriously awesome
SOMEONE MAKE A CAR WASH!!!!
Any price speculation for the Minerva ship??
370-400?
@@thefasoI was thinking something close to 400 EURO, plus/minus 30
Idk if you intentionally or mistakenly skipped out on the sushi restaurant. Give it a look. It looks amazing
I missed it out because for me the family celebration set Lego did for new year was nicer, but you’re right it’s a nice set and i should have included it 👍
You’re essentially asking Lego: did we do your job better than you?
I doubt people who design for Lego are keen to admit that other peoples designs are better than them.
I really hope we get some nice pirates stuff! I want one of the big ships and two of the small ships if possible!
But I really dont like the pirate island with arms at all
I know I’m not a fan of the arms. But I’m desperate for more pirate sets!
@@Stud-Lord same for me, though one thing you might not have noticed is that BlueBrixx has been making pretty sets too! And if you add lego minifigs to them, it actually looks real nice
Ballista tower so good
I think it’ll do well
Wow I love this pirate scull island the most 😮 but they should remove hands they look ugly abs impossible, but scull looks coo and will be good add-on to barracuda bay ship and Eldorado fortress. Also imperial ship is good but I don't like that captain cockpit is on lower deck. It should be on uper deck just like barracuda bay. Also it lacks any living area with kitchen and beds which is bad. I believe they better take some ideas out of it and combine them with remake of some actual imperial armada ships from past. Actually all ideas are good. Why Lego not release all of them?
