It's good to see that there are "struggles" in all dog training. Often times we can get down on ourselves for feeling like failures in dog training and have to remind ourselves simple steps, simple thinking and videos like this to reinforce this is needed. Thanks for the content!

We're working with our new pup and Brandon's advise was just what I needed. Wish he'd just come and train for me haha but it's good for us and happy to have this new set of tools to use on our pup.

Patty at the 2:08 of the video you can see that you reacted scare of your own dog, you need more quality time with your own dog so you can create that bonding that you can trust on him and viceversa. All it’s time like a person that haven’t shoot in his life they are scare at the beginning and the more time in the shooting range that fear solely it’s going to desapeer the more time you spend keep it up.

In germany I work with english commands, sometimes. I use "Sit" instead of "Sitz", because "SitZ" and "PlatZ" sounds a bit simuliar in stress.
This isn’t German, this is Dutch.

I used to do bite work with my wolf using my leather motorcycle jacket. It gives you surprisingly good control over the animal if you can handle the pressure.
Amazing watching your methods work like intended. I enjoy and learn a lot from these tuneup type videos. A few new techniques that i thought would help even your basic handlers. Keep these great training videos in rotation!

The KNPV Mals are big and def just like Micheal Ellis described “easily excited and a little on the diff side to control “. He sure as heck didn’t even think about fetching that ball as the handler commanded. He went and went and got and owned it.
I like to the etiquette lesson i've taught it quite a bit myself but I have never heard that analogy and really enjoyed the clarity of it

How do you prevent parvo virus even when your dogs meet so many other dogs
Give them their three puppy shots for Parvo and then have a titres test done, that will tell you if they have an immunity to Parvo and you never have to have the vaccine done again… Same goes for rabies & distemper🤍🤍🦋🦋🦋

The one major thing ive seen pat having issues with since making content with kubos, is that pat repeats his commands way to much, he says commands over and over and over before kubos listens and its going to get worse and worse if he doesnt stop repeating himself ❤ it is hard for people to break the habit of repeating themselves when they have always said commands over and over again to get their dog to listen😊

What kind of collar do you recommend?
Maybe a dumb question but with the laser and vibration training. Do you do that specifically for a tactile benefit?
My thinking was because in a conflict situation a light won’t change for example if people are yelling, it’s still going to be a visual cue.

It's funny that you actually speak Dutch to the Belgian Malinois! Any particular reason for that instead of using English commands?
Commands in a language most people don’t understand, so the commands are just for you and your dog and the dog won’t get confused.
It's a Dutch trained KNPV dog (Royal Dutch Police dog Association).
So does Patty train her dogs or you?
Trained in Dutch i live in the Netherlands they train the dogs here and sell them to Americans

That is a bite tug. For sale in many places. Do not leave stuffed toys with the dog when you are not supervising or playing with them. Instead, give the dog a Kong toy. They are durable and made for safe chewing.

Do dogs take command only from their master (and family) or from anyone? What if I don’t want my dog to take command from other people?
Well trained dogs will usually listen to anyone how knows common dog commands and projects leadership and confidence.
If you do not want your dog to listen to someone else, train them in a different language. This can backfire if your vet, dogsitter, etc. cannot command your dog.
Very occasionally a dog will naturally be so loyal to one person that they will not listen to other people.
