Just paid a music shop to replace my strings and “set up” my banjo. Noticed my bridge was significantly out of place when I got it back and wasn’t sure how to fine tune the intonation. Other videos on the subject just left me confused, but yours was crystal clear and easy to follow. Huge heartfelt thanks to you.

Thank you so much; just got my first banjo and intonation was horrendous but you’ve helped me fixed it :)

Great video. Received my first banjo today and the 12 fret was quite sharp. Was a little scared to mess with the bridge but your video helped out. had the intonation set up in about 5-10 minutes.

what if only one string is off?

Which string? If outer (high g or high d), try shifting the bridge at an angle. Otherwise you might need a compensated bridge.

My banjo has a cracked head. Will I still be able to set intonation or do I need to go ahead and replace the head?

Yes, i would definitely encourage you to change out your head. It wouldn't be impossible to set the intonation, but since the crack will only get worse, you will need to replace it soon anyway.
