Today I played a Hollow Knight Randomizer with the new CurseRandomizer by Korz! This is a mod that allows for some additional cursed randomizer settings, such as Cursed Wallet, Cursed Dream Nail and more. But its main feature is secretly replacing items with curses, which can have either instant or permanent effects on your character... and some of them are real nasty. This was a ton of fun and I'm definitely gonna play more in the future!

Hey there, I'm the maker of this mod. Thank you Fire, editor and everyone else for your kind words I'm glad you liked it, it was really fun to make (for the most part at least)
I'd like to clarify two points though FWIW:
1. The mod was done with the intention of using the recent item display as well. As you can see on the big screen it is not shown which curse is actually casted, but in recent items it would show the curses name. Although in the newer version the screen does show it as well.^^
2. The high costs of items in the shop is caused by cursed wallet. With this is in ensured that the items which are placed behind wallet actually require them. So items placed in the no wallet tier cost between 0 and 200, the second tier 201-500 etc. As a little bit of help, once you obtain a wallet, it would give you a bit of geo based on the starting geo. This is why I recommend setting the starting geo pretty high.

I appreciate your work!! It's also definitely important to note that this video was recorded at the start of December, so the mod has received a number of patches already (which I might or might not be making more videos to showcase).

would love to see a curse mod where cursed pickups still give you the real item as well. It could be presented like a faustian bargain

I feel like a good change might be to turn the egg guy into a way to get rid of curses so that you can actually do something about them
I think Lemm might even be more interesting. Force you to choose between getting Geo and removing random curses
@@guri256 given how artifacts would be mostly useless until you upgrade your wallet several times (assuming you don't just get 2 wallets at the very start, cough cough) that actually sounds like a great idea

Elegy already works with Fury

@@lolmanthecat they literally have a synergy that lets elegy proc when fury is active
@@dinoaurus1 elegy = full health make you shoot beams
Fury = double damage at 1 mask.
Unless you have 1 mask, its impossible to use both at the same time
@@bobbycrofts9241 jesus christ the game is very specifically coded to allow you to utilize both at 1 mask this is a special interaction between fury and elegy. Or then it was both at full hp
it would be funny if there was like a fourth nailmaster he had to go to learn how to use the dream nail but has to have it first

Ooo, this adds some fun spice to the rando! I agree it is kind of nice to see a new level of tension to it, and humor (at least for the viewers), especially with the horrible timing of losing masks

That can probably be done as a custom curse! It'd be probably just set a flag for which trial is activated, then teleport into middle of colo. Or something like that

I agree the new rando challenge looks like more of a fun challenge to do for someone with as much practice and skill as you. Usually, it isn't much of a challenge and the rando becomes looking around a whole bunch so you can finish it. Now looking around is a lot more difficult and interesting.
